Pulled YouTube video
editThe video "2009 Ford Blind Spot Monitoring System" was pulled from YouTube with the message "The YouTube account associated with this video has been terminated due to multiple third-party notifications of copyright infringement." Accordingly, I've commented it out of the External links section rather than deleting it, in the hope that someone who recalls the old video can determine whether my new replacement is suitable or not. --Eliyahu S Talk 13:51, 27 September 2013 (UTC)
Alternatives
editThe information on adjusting mirrors has nothing to do with the History section or the history of blind spot monitoring systems. It should be removed. It could be added to a separate section that lists alternatives to automated systems, but should be rewritten in a balanced way. It currently indicates that such an adjustment is the "correct" way of adjusting mirrors, while that's not universally agreed upon nor advocated by various state DMV manuals that represent information from states on proper adjustment. It also fails to mention that it's a trade off with being able to see further down adjacent lanes, which may not be visible through the rear view mirror when another vehicle is following closely 2602:306:80AB:60D0:0:0:0:28 (talk) 23:29, 29 January 2016 (UTC)
- Agreed. It's amazing it's still there seven years later. It's basically one person's rant about adjusting wing mirrors. 51.9.46.62 (talk) 23:14, 26 December 2023 (UTC)
