Flammable gases?

edit

What were the "flammable gases" mentioned several times in the article? How were they produced? --84.64.233.228 (talk) 11:08, 9 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

I don't think this is a real thing. Unless there is evidence that it is, it should be removed from the article. --84.64.233.228 (talk) 16:11, 9 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
The Slide source doesn't mention these flammable gases. The Quarterly of the National Fire Protection Agency source isn't accessible to me. Does it mention them? --84.64.233.228 (talk) 17:34, 9 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
Not getting a lot of response here. Squeamish Ossifrage, did you write and source this? Can you help out? --84.64.233.228 (talk) 23:26, 9 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
I've removed the reference to "flammable gases". When nitrate film decomposes, it produces NOx which is an oxidising agent rather than a fuel. --84.64.233.228 (talk) 22:26, 13 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Dwg

edit

Map of the area involved in the fire

In the above map, several structures are labelled "Dwg", but this is not defined anywhere in the article. To what does it refer? Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 17:56, 9 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Dwelling? --84.64.233.228 (talk) 17:57, 9 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
The article says "the fire spread to five neighboring residences", so that seems likely. Thank you. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 18:50, 9 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Sentence that doesn't make sense

edit

"Also destroyed were negatives from Educational Pictures to Belarusfilm.."

That (the first half of a sentence – the second half is OK) doesn't make sense. Is it an accidental abbreviation of something like "Also destroyed were negatives from various companies, ranging from Educational Pictures to Belarusfilm.."? Harfarhs (talk) 22:28, 16 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Footage?

edit

Is it real footage as 1937 footage from a firefighter relative is unlikely to still be around if its real 2601:1C0:5380:55E0:8D13:C0B0:29D3:70EC (talk) 07:44, 8 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
