editNot just an illustration of a particular 486, this popular issue of Byte brought one of the earliest machines using the 80486 chip, the Apricot VX FT, into wide knowledge in the United States, far from its place of production in the UK. It's also low-resolution and impossible to replace in this strictly limited role.
