English: A drawing shows Mayahuel, goddess of the maguey, with a mature agave and a pot of fermented pulque. The first liquid that pours into the heart of the maguey is called aguamiel (literally, honey water); legend says that aguamiel is Mayahuel's blood.
Français : Dessin montrant Mayahuel, déesse aztèque de l'agave, avec un plant mature et un pot de pulque : boisson fermentée issue du suc provenant du cœur de l'agave. Ce suc est appelé aguamiel (sirop d'agave, littéralement, eau de miel). La légende dit que l'aguamiel est le sang de Mayahuel.
