Democratic enclaves in the state of Texas

[edit]

Hey -- I've seen your contributions around, and thank you for helping out. However, please understand I moved your Democratic enclaves in the state of Texas article to a private sandbox I set up. I did so over concerns that although this information is potentially valuable to the project, It may need a little work before it can stand alone as an actual article. It needs to be expanded and wikified so that it represents an actual article. The private sandbox is located HERE. Feel free to edit this sandbox in any way you feel, you may also wish to move it to a sandbox location of your own. If you need any help regarding this article, feel free to leave me a message on my talkpage. Thanks again, Somnabot 21:44, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Diario_elp_paper.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

I corrected the licensing for you. Happy editing. Somnabot 22:55, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Diario elp paper.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Diario elp paper.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Fritz S. (Talk) 14:11, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your Userpage

[edit]

You might want to reconsider the contents of your userpage. I just stumbled across a similar page that is being considered for deletion here. Also, considering the sensitive nature of a number of articles you have edited (ie. Eliot Shapleigh), please remove any partisan material from your userpage. Anything that makes the Republicans seem lesser than the Democrats could cause your edits to lose their credibility. It is imperative that we don't allow our own bias' to seep into our writing. Just as a precaution, please see WP:USER#What_can_I_not_have_on_my_user_page.3F. Somnabot 14:53, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Subpages

[edit]

NEVER copy the source code of userboxes onto your userpage, always use {{}} to shortcut it. Now I have put the userboxes that you have in source into subpages to take your userpage out of unnessessary categories:

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Diario elp paper.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Diario elp paper.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 20:17, 13 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
