A tag has been placed on Jo Lindner requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Jo Linder requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Article creation

[edit]

Hello, Joesphew89,

I'd like to advise you to create and develop articles in Draft space or User space like your Sandbox. They are much less likely to be tagged for deletion in these other namespaces. Articles put directly into the main space of the project are subject to being tagged for speedy deletion if they are incomplete or not sourced properly. It's best not to mvoe an article you've created into main space until it is finished, properly referenced and working in Draft space, and submitting your drafts to WP:AFC for review, lessens the chance they will be deleted.

If you have questions about this, please bring them to the Teahouse. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 05:51, 31 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Joesphew89, you are invited to the Teahouse, a forum on Wikipedia for new editors to ask questions about editing Wikipedia, and get support from peers and experienced editors. Please join us! Liz Read! Talk! 05:52, 31 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your contributions to Northwest Middle School (Taneytown, MD). Unfortunately, it is not ready for publishing because it has no sources and it needs more sources to establish notability. Your article is now a draft where you can improve it undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Vanderwaalforces (talk) 15:15, 31 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

MfD nomination of Draft:Herman Bekele

[edit]

Draft:Herman Bekele, a page which you created or substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; you may participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Draft:Herman Bekele and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Draft:Herman Bekele during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. JacobTheRox (talk) 17:14, 3 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

A page you created has been nominated for deletion because it is a biography of a living person that is entirely negative in tone and contains unsourced content, according to section G10 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

Do not create articles about living people that are entirely negative in tone and unsourced. Wikipedia has a policy of verifiability and any negative information we use must be reliably sourced, and our articles must be balanced. Negative, unreferenced biographies of living people, along with other attack pages, are not tolerated by Wikipedia, and users who create or repost such pages and images in violation of our biographies of living persons policy may be blocked from editing. You're doing birth-date-and-age wrong in infoboxes

[edit]

This edit of yours (and any other edits like it that you've made) is wrong. Don't manually write a person's age into the birth_date parameter in an infobox, because you would need to update it every year, which I doubt you're going to do. Instead, replace the content of the parameter with the template {{Birth date and age}}, which will calculate the age automatically. Biogeographist (talk) 18:33, 29 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hello, I'm Philipnelson99. I noticed that in this edit to Grace Jabbari, you removed all the content from the page. Please do not do this. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. As a rule, if you discover a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If a page has been vandalised, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you wish to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Philipnelson99 (talk) 02:40, 2 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

My apologies. I promise not to do such a thing ever again. I merely thought that by blanking the page (since it was nominated for deletion), it would benefit the page itself. Joesphew89 (talk) 02:59, 2 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hoaxes

[edit]
Stop icon

Please do not create, maintain or restore hoaxes on Wikipedia. If you are interested to know how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method would be to try to find inaccurate statements already in Wikipedia – and, if possible, correct them. Please do not disrupt Wikipedia. Continued disruption will be met with sanctions, which could include a block from editing. Feel free to take a look at the five pillars of Wikipedia to learn more about this project and how you can contribute constructively. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 02:44, 13 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Joesphew89,
This is just a notice that it is not appropriate to use your User space to write articles on fictitious subjects, people and countries. I'm going to give you some time so you can move this content to another platform but Wikipedia is not a webhost for your writings on imaginary people and places. There are plenty of places like your own blog or Fandom where this content is fine but Wikipedia is an encyclopedia about notable subjects and even your User pages do not belong to you (or any editor), they are intended to be used to improve the project.
If you have questions about this subject, User pages or editing on Wikipedia, please bring them to the Teahouse where you can get advice, support and a second opinion from experienced editors. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 02:48, 13 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of 1444 video

[edit]

Hello Joesphew89,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged 1444 video for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Ways to improve Artur Ocheretny

[edit]

Hello, Joesphew89,

Thank you for creating Artur Ocheretny.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

I fear that his notability is entirely due to being associated with Lyudmila Putina, and thus this BLP should really be redirected to her BLP. We need some WP:SIGCOV pieces on him as the main subject in high quality independent sources. thanks

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Aszx5000}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

This is bullshit. I did not make any racist or homophobic comments. I don’t know where this is coming from. I was literally just having some fun but I’ve stopped now. All my other 500+ edits were not vandalism by the way. Joesphew89 (talk) 12:28, 16 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Joesphew89 (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I was not making any homophobic or racist comments. If you look at all my other edits, you can clearly see that I’ve been generally constructive to wikipedia. This was merely a spontaneous action with my friend, for which some of his vandalistic edits were mistakenly identified as mine. This will not happen again, as I generally don’t use wikipedia that much. My primary means of usage is to look at pages, but sometimes edit some things I know are inarguably false. I might leave wikipedia all together, as I’ve experienced some prejudice (albeit, mild) on here that has severely pissed me off. Joesphew89 (talk) 12:51, 16 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You seem to be indicating you allowed your friend to control your account. If so, WP:COMPROMISED applies. If you are not claiming your friend controlled your account, you need to account for your completely inappropriate edits. If you are claiming your friend controlled your account, this is probably the end of the line for this account. If so, do not make another unblock request without specifically and exactly following WP:COMPROMISED. It's entirely likely that you will simply not be able to prove that you have once again regained complete control over your account, in which case that's the end of the line. Yamla (talk) 13:01, 16 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

There seems to be some confusion. My friend did not get control of my account. You simply confused edits made under his account.

You failed to secure your account, which has resulted in someone using your account to vandalize. Ahri Boy (talk) 12:54, 16 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
