Fair use rationale for File:Wubbzy digit.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Wubbzy digit.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 23:04, 10 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as List of programs broadcast by Nick Play Date, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits, such as those you made to List of Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil episodes. If you vandalize Wikipedia again, you will be blocked from editing. You have already been warned about adding copyrighted material to Wikipedia, including this article, and yet this time you removed a {{Copyvio}} tag in order to do so again! Hello Brandon J. Marcellus. Although you are welcome to contribute, please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, such as the one you made to User talk:VirginFanon. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. In your case, I suggest reading WP:UTM, rather than copying a warning off of your own user page. The level 4 warning was inappropriate for a first time warning, not to mention that the edit in question was not very obvious bad faith. Thank you Brambleclawx 20:57, 27 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, how is it that you came to make This edit, in which you tell User talk:HugeKidvsKatFan that he will be banned if thus and so? Dlohcierekim 19:03, 3 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm, I would suggest making a stronger effort at engaging in discussion over editorial concerns, rather than slapping on "banned" templates that are erroneous and offering threats. Cheers, Dlohcierekim 19:43, 3 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for uploading File:Nickelodeon_logo.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Chris G Bot (talk) 00:12, 7 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

The article Phineas and Ferb (season 2) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This page is not really not need. we have a page that is some what like this.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. License tagging for File:My-Little-Ponies.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:My-Little-Ponies.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 20:06, 24 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Fanboy and Chum Chum Episode List

[edit]

Hi Brandon. I noticed that you blanked the five episodes listed in Season Two at List of Fanboy and Chum Chum episodes, and also made a confusing page edit here: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=List_of_Fanboy_and_Chum_Chum_episodes&oldid=418858680 Can you please help me to understand the rationale for these changes? It would be appreciated if you'd please use the Edit Summary field to explain your edits in the future. Thanks much. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 05:41, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

In re your response on my talk page, what's wrong with the old template? And why was the S2 episode data removed? Cyphoidbomb (talk) 03:49, 16 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Brandon. Here are my thoughts. 1) The old-format episode list is very similar to the one used at SpongeBob Episodes, which has a similar 11-minute episode format like FBCC. 2) If you want to improve things, I don't want to interfere, but maybe I can encourage you to work on the improvement offline in a sandbox or something? The current page is looking a little ramshackle. 3) I don't know that we really need the Title Reference information, and I'm a little iffy about whether or not the episode synopses will survive, since they have been deleted numerous times before. 4) The Season 2 ep titles that were up a few days ago are correct according to one of the show's writers. On that basis, I am going to put them back and include a reference. Here's the link: [1]. UPDATE: Oops, an even stronger reference: [2] Cyphoidbomb (talk) 03:55, 18 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:300px-Cleveland_CookieCrumbles_CS215_cut1.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:300px-Cleveland_CookieCrumbles_CS215_cut1.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. JDDJS (talk) 20:19, 29 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Newppgirlslogo.png

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Newppgirlslogo.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 23:38, 12 April 2011 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. Speedy deletion nomination of HubBub

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on HubBub, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Dennis Brown (talk) 23:33, 13 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of HubBub for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article HubBub is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/HubBub until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion.

Dennis Brown (talk) 13:23, 15 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The Amazing World of Gumball edit warring

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on The Amazing World of Gumball. Users are expected to collaborate with others and avoid editing disruptively.

In particular, the three-revert rule states that:

  1. Making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you continue to edit war, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. MikeWazowski (talk) 06:23, 29 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on SpongeBob SquarePants (season 8) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. License tagging for File:Disney Junior HD logo.gif

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Disney Junior HD logo.gif. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. Programs on Cartoon Network

[edit]

They're not rerunning, they're just showing a christmas special. You can't just say October 1, 1992 - December 25, 2011 either. That'd sounds like they ran in all that time, while they've been off for quite some years now, only showing those christmas episodes every other christmas. I GUESS you could add next to them that they air christmas specials, but that does not mean they're returning, so I'm sorry but I must remove that again.

Edit: When undoing other edits, then please don't undo anything that is not supposed to. Even though you wanted to undo the stuff about Flintstones and Jetsons, you also undid that I put Teen Titans under upcomming reruns. Teen Titans does in fact return (check the link). Thanks.

May I wish you a good christmas too, and a happy new year ^_^ Ctesjbuvf (talk) 00:47, 17 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

See also Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and Wikipedia:Splitting. If that is what you are attempting, my assumption as you didn't make that explicit in the edit histories as required, make a proposal on the article talk page and get consensus. Geraldo Perez (talk) 18:35, 26 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I, personally, will oppose a split at this time as there are too few seasons and maintaining 3 articles (summary, season 1 and season 2) instead of just the current one is more effort than necessary now. If you still want to, tag the article with the {{split}} tag and start a split discussion. Geraldo Perez (talk) 18:47, 26 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Now that a split discussion has been started, wait for about a week before doing anything further. You should support your position with reasons for why you think a split of the article is desirable at the discussion you started. So far you just said you intend to do the split, you need to say more than just that to justify it. I have added my comment. See what others have to say. Is there a reasonable explanation? Feel free to respond here, I've added your talk page to my watchlist. Thanks. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 04:17, 30 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Dottie

[edit]

Special:Diff/485414932 on April 2012 when you made the Doc McStuffins article, you listed Dottie as Doc's real name.

Where does this information originate? One of the first 10-11 episodes which had aired by that time? I have fact-tagged it and brought it up on the talk page. 64.228.91.102 (talk) 14:08, 21 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Disney XD (Australia & New Zealand), you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Lab Rats and Avengers Assemble. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

"Children's" or "Adults"

[edit]

Hello! Thanks for helping us improve Wikipedia. However, it is not necessary to specify whether a show is for children or for adults. Since, in many cases, a show's target audience is subjective, we try to avoid describing a show as "adult" or otherwise, even when it's obvious that it is. It's also considered unimportant information. If you have any questions, feel free to reply and ask, either on your talk page or mine! BruzerFox 00:36, 27 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for the calculation of the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. A tag has been placed on List of Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! songs requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a musical recording which does not indicate why its subject is important or significant, and where the artist's article does not exist or is eligible for deletion itself. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for music.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
