Your rollback request

[edit]

Hello Mark91, I have granted rollback rights to your account in accordance with your request. Please be aware that rollback should be used to revert vandalism/spam/blatantly unconstructive edits, and that using it to revert anything else (such as by revert-warring or reverting edits you disagree with) can lead to it being removed from your account...sometimes without any warning, depending on the admin who becomes aware of any misuse. If you think an edit should require a reason for reverting, then don't use rollback and instead, use a manual edit summary. For practice, you may wish to see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback. Good luck. Acalamari 15:26, 30 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

For nominating an article I haven't even gotten written (which is none of your affair) for speedy deletion. I was working on it, and was intending to link to that page from my user page. Sorry to have bothered you at all. Skweeky (talk) 18:18, 29 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

that was the quickest edit response I've ever had.

[edit]

I was just about to move the page in the redirect to the namespace tau (circle constant), the reason I given being "A more neutral title for the article- 2pi implies a definition based on pi, ergo an opinion on which constant is more fundamental." However was informed that the destination page wasn't empty. I know it only had a redirect in it, which shouldn't affect a move, however I thought it could just be a glitch. Sorry about the lazy lack of edit summary. --Αlex (talk) 23:52, 30 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Centrifugal Force article

[edit]

You have reverted an addition of material that was being discussed in the talk page. A consensus was arrived at, that some confusion with this article should be clarified and I attempted to accomplish this. Your summary comment was regarding unsourced material. If we followed this policy, to the letter, most of wikipedia material would have to be deleted. Information in lede paragraghs is typically not referenced, also. Please participate on the centrifugal force talk page or consider replacing the clarification. Redirecting people from a popular misspelling search to an article without mention, somewhere, is a source of confusion for wikipedia users. 99.251.114.120 (talk) 15:34, 15 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Gef the Talking Mongoose page edits

[edit]

Hi Mark91,

I recently edited the 'Gef the Talking Mongoose' en.wiki page; corrected some inaccuracies, and added a couple of citations. I notice that you have twice deleted these additions - but the only reason I could see that you gave for this was: "IT'S A SCAM!!" I am admittedly new to wikipedia editing, so am not all that familiar with the rules etc, but I don't understand this as a reason for deletion. I have given citations where possible.

Please could you explain what you meant by "IT'S A SCAM", and how I have violated the rules.

Thanks,

Alexander Vinokourov

[edit]

My edit regard ing Alexander Vinokourov and his olymic gold should not have been retracted. Every olympic athlete who wins a gold will be tested which is common knowledge. AV's medal will stand only if he passes doping controls. 50.83.202.224 (talk) 21:04, 28 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'll reply here so that hopefully you will be able to see my answer. That line adds nothing to the article; will you go around all the articles for all the olympic winners and add it and then remove it once they passed their doping controls? Adding such a line only creates a subtle insinuation that the athlete might have used doping, which is, exactly as I wrote on your talk page, a controversial and potentially defamatory statement. Besides, the official London 2012 website states how Vinokourov is the official winner. Full stop. If, as you say, presence of doping controls is a common knowledge then there is no need for that edit. --Mark91it's my world 21:58, 28 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Mark91,

Please accept my apologies, the removal of content was unintentional. Removal of Content from the Article "Species-typical Behavior"

[edit]

Hi Snow Blizzard!

I recently created an account in Wikipedia just to clarify something, and hopefully start contributing.

I just discovered it just now but you sent me a message last September 2013, telling me that I recently removed all content from the Species-typical Behavior article or

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Species-typical_behavior

I don't recall any reason to visit that article and I have never tried editing an article in Wikipedia. I would just like to clarify this since I would like to start clean in the Wikipedia community.

Thank you for informing me about this incident and I hope to hear from you soon.

I am inviting you to leave me some feedback, 18 months after you opposed my RfA. Do you still believe I am not fit to be an admin? Do you believe I have been able to improve past the concerns you have brought up? Do not be afraid of being too harsh, I am specifically welcoming criticism as I believe it is the best way to improve and I am always looking to learn from my mistakes. I am particularly looking for feedback as to whether you have objections to myself lifting the self-imposed 1RR restriction I had agreed to towards the end of my RfA. If you don't have time to comment, don't fret it either, this is nothing I'll lose sleep over. :) ☺ · Salvidrim! ·  19:48, 20 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hiroko Tsuji

[edit]

Sorry for the sudden message, but I am looking for an expert Wikipedian who knows Italian. I had my suspicions about the articles Hiroko Tsuji (musician) and Kento Masuda. Written by the same editor, both seem to assert the subjects have been entered into the Order of St. Sylvester and cite a page in Italian as proof. The Tsuji page has a photo of her holding what seems to be certificate in Italian. I suspect that both pages are self-promotion and may be exaggerating the relationship to the Order. I've also asked at WikiProject Italy, but I've gotten no response. Another editor, Loriendrew, has tried to tag the Tsuji article, but the original author (along with what I suspect is a sockpuppet--it's an SPA that has only edited Kento Masuda), has fought back. We need someone authoritative to determine what is going on with these claims. Could you or someone you know help out? Michitaro (talk) 13:20, 20 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Upcoming expiry of your ipblock-exempt right

[edit]

Hi, this is an automated reminder as part of Global reminder bot to let you know that your WP:IPBE right which gave you the ability to bypass IP address blocks will expire on 02:20, 20 October 2024 (UTC). If your IP is still blocked (which you can test by trying to edit when logged-out), please renew by following the instructions at the IPBE page; otherwise, you do not need to do anything. To opt out of user right expiry notifications, add yourself to m:Global reminder bot/Exclusion. Leaderbot (talk) 06:30, 14 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
