WP:MOTORSPORTS discussion

Hey there! I have initiated a discussion about the trimming of content and what should and shouldn't be in a lead and event sections of a racing facility. I've noticed your interest in expanding the racing facility pages of WP:MOTORSPORTS; if possible, I'd like to hear your feedback on what you feel should be included. Currently, edits are getting disruptive and I'd love to come to a consensus on what the pages should be like. The discussion is located here. Thanks! Cheers! Nascar9919 (he/him • tc) 01:30, 13 October 2024 (UTC)

@Nascar9919 For sure, sorry for such a late response. I feel like tracks should have some sort of history tab and a little info on what the track was before it came to be (like in this case, Pocono Raceway started as a cabbage farm). 45BearsFan (talk) 16:04, 15 October 2024 (UTC)

RM closure for Quaker State 400

Your RM closure at Talk:Quaker State 400 (Atlanta)#Requested move on 5 October 2024 seems strange. There was no objection to the proposed move, so how could it be closed as "Not moved" with no explanation? And you were the proposer! Perhaps you meant to close it as "Withdrawn" instead, although even in that case, I think you should provide some explanation. — BarrelProof (talk) 18:59, 17 October 2024 (UTC)

I didn't know what to list it as, since there was no say in the requested move. 45BearsFan (talk) 19:03, 17 October 2024 (UTC)
Assuming you still support your own proposal, you should've just left it open and waited for someone independent to close it. Such a discussion would ordinarily be closed in favor of the proposal under WP:RMNOMIN, unless someone has something new to say. I suggest to just revert your closure. If you want me to do that for you, I am willing. — BarrelProof (talk) 19:14, 17 October 2024 (UTC)
The discussion is now back open, I will close it until someone independent has a say in in, sorru bout the confusion. 45BearsFan (talk) 19:23, 17 October 2024 (UTC)
@BarrelProof: update on QS400's discussion, a user stated that they would like to see the original article (the one without (kentucky) or (atlanta)) be converted into a disambiguation link for a while, to settle down the drama with the 2 articles. What should I do? 45BearsFan (talk) 00:13, 21 October 2024 (UTC)
It might be a good idea. At least someone should review Special:WhatLinksHere/Quaker State 400 and retarget the links to unambiguous titles, because a lot of those links are probably trying to link to the Kentucky topic. The first article I see in the list of links is Dale Earnhardt Jr., which is trying to refer to the Kentucky topic, but now isn't. — BarrelProof (talk) 03:31, 21 October 2024 (UTC)
I changed it to the disambiguation page, hopefully a bot will update the links and then after a while, we can do the page move. 45BearsFan (talk) 16:18, 21 October 2024 (UTC)
@BarrelProof now that the disambiguation page was made, how long should we have that up until we do the move? 45BearsFan (talk) 15:43, 25 October 2024 (UTC)
Wait until the RM discussion is declared closed by a non-involved editor, then take action accordingly. (See WP:RMCI.) Regardless of the outcome, I think Natg 19's correction of the incoming links is a good development. Special:WhatLinksHere/Quaker State 400 now shows no links from articles. — BarrelProof (talk) 17:39, 25 October 2024 (UTC)

2025 Cup Series Page

hey 45BearsFan, i was wondering if it would be a good idea for me to create the Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium and the Bluegreen Vacation Duels after the New Year or after tonight’s championship race? please let me know your thoughts and thanks! Brycenrichter (talk) 21:52, 10 November 2024 (UTC)

@Brycenrichter sure, if nascar announces busch coming back to sponsor the clash, we can just rename it but other than that im fine with you creating the preseason races! 45BearsFan (talk) 21:57, 10 November 2024 (UTC)

Pittsburgh Penguins

Hello again buddy. I was just wanting to catch up with you about the Pittsburgh Penguins (or Hershey Bears) task force ideas. I know that you edit a lot of NASCAR stuff, but I would like to see more people actually using task forces other than just @The Kip and I. Thanks. XR228 (talk) 05:19, 12 November 2024 (UTC)

Yeah man, sorry it took me a while. Im slowly transitioning from my nascar edits (other than typos and stuff) and going into hockey edits, once im finished with my classes ill work on it! 45BearsFan (talk) 15:09, 12 November 2024 (UTC)
Sure. I have some school stuff too so yeah. XR228 (talk) 22:42, 12 November 2024 (UTC)

Thanks for your contributions to NASCAR on Amazon Prime. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/NASCAR on Amazon Prime was closed as such. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit for review" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Owen× 15:33, 26 November 2024 (UTC)
