Hello, Wikipedians! As you may well have noticed, I've kind of been a stranger in recent years, but I still use Wikipedia as one of my primary information sources. And I continue to edit every now and then, when I feel like it.

Unlike in the case of a personal blog, I strongly feel that Wikipedians should keep their writing as unbiased as possible. As such, I am committed to following the Neutral Point of View policy when editing Wikipedia. Over the years, I have removed or revised numerous POV statements on Wikipedia, including many with which I've agreed wholeheartedly. Yes, I am THAT committed to NPOV.

As you may have guessed, I am a very strong proponent of unbiased reference sources. There is such a plethora of information out there today, but so much of it is written from a single point of view. I feel like Wikipedia avoids that problem by having contributors of all ethnic, political, academic, religious, and family backgrounds. I think it is indisputable that bias is part of human nature. One of these days, I just might make some of my own contributions to Wikipedia's articles on bias. It's a subject that I think needs greater awareness than it currently receives.

As a North Texas resident, I have started and/or contributed to a number of biographical articles on notable North Texas residents, including Ebby Halliday, Neil Sperry, John Turner, Nathan M. Johnson, and Nancy Churnin. I would encourage you to improve these articles if you can.

For another note about editing Wikipedia, I like to keep articles grammatically correct, and so I usually correct grammatical errors when I see them. Sometimes, when I see pages on other websites with grammatical errors, or which are just poorly written, I wish I could correct them. I encourage anyone reading this page to learn proper English and use it.

Well, feel free to leave a note on my talk page.
