If there's no Bishop article as series regular, then why is C McBride/Grover

Too soon to credit new cast member?

The new character, Eleanor "Ellie" Bishop (portrayed by Emily Wickersham) has now been on two episodes, and appears to be a new, regular cast member. Regardless of how the above topic is settled, should she at least be mentioned?

Front table of cast members should be edited to include Bishop. Is it not possible to create a new row? No reason for her to be banished behind the List of NCIS characters link Mefmaxet (talk) 23:23, 28 December 2013 (UTC)

The table in this article only includes characters who have been credited in a starring role. Emily Wickersham has NOT been credited in a starring role. She is a series regular, but regular does not mean starring. Brian Dietzen was a series regular for a long time before Jimmy Plamer was added to the list of main characters. --AussieLegend () 04:32, 29 December 2013 (UTC)

International Broadcast

I don't know which of those are actually channels in English or a different language, but the Manual of Style states that we should describe host and English broadcasts (and channels) and not those in other laugages because Wikipedia is not a TV Guide/--Ditto51 (My Talk Page) 12:47, 8 August 2014 (UTC)

The entire section has been tagged as needing sources since September 2012 so I have removed all of the non-English broadcasts and tagged the rest with {{citation needed}}. If they're not sourced by September 2014 the entire section should be removed. Two years is long enough. --AussieLegend () 17:11, 8 August 2014 (UTC)

I am reverting my own revert from CRyanxc's contribution based on an explanation he/she sent me. I would appreciate if editors interested in this article could back up these aseertions with sources or further discussions. Cheers Historiador (talk) 03:36, 30 November 2015 (UTC)

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to 2 external links on NCIS (TV series). Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Guest Stars?

I thought it was previously decided that flashbacks (specifically with old clips) did not count as "guest stars"? I see that CdP was added again as guest starring in seasons 12 and 13 despite not being billed as such. The same issue on her page too. Chrissymad (talk) 15:44, 26 November 2016 (UTC)

Basically, if they're not credited, they're not guest stars. --AussieLegend () 17:46, 26 November 2016 (UTC)

Thanks, I went ahead and adjusted on the related pages as the user went back and changed several past actors/characters to recurring based on archive footage. Chrissymad (talk) 20:06, 27 November 2016 (UTC)

Backdoor Pilot section

It was a hot mess - restructuring for the following consistent template:

Show A

First paragraph: episodes of host show B backdoor pilot for show A

Second paragraph: which out of show A cast members are actually introduced in this backdoor pilot.

Third paragraph: which show B cast members reprise their roles on show A

CapnZapp (talk) 10:11, 28 October 2016 (UTC)

I'm new to Wikipedia and not comfortable adding or updating content, so I'm posting here - if someone more experienced thinks the information should be included on the page, please add/update.

Something that maybe should be pointed out is that Zoe McLellan played Jennifer Coates in JAG. But, she also played Meredith Brody in NCIS: New Orleans. What I found interesting in this is that the characters she played were both significant series regulars.

I realize that the shows are "2nd cousins", but I thought it was odd.

I verified it on IMDB - [1]

Former Main cast members

Should former cast members be bumped from the main page cast list, or at least separated? Sasha Alexander,Michael Weatherly, Cote de Pablo, and Lauren Holly are who I am talking about. PUNKMINKIS (CHAT) 16:31, 21 April 2017 (UTC)

No, because the article is not just about the series now, but it's entire history, including the episodes where those actors are main cast members. They're no less valid as main cast members just because they've since left the series. oknazevad (talk) 17:19, 21 April 2017 (UTC)

Articles are not supposed to be sexy, they're supposed to be encyclopaedic. When we created the characters article, the cast section here was pruned to a minimum, since there is no point duplicating content contained in the characters article. This table does just that. It's also exceptionally "busy" and contains a lot more content than it should. If it's placed anywhere, it should be in the characters article. The code errors in the table can be addressed separately. --AussieLegend () 09:46, 26 April 2018 (UTC)
Code errors? Babelcolour5 (talk) 11:36, 26 April 2018 (UTC)
Not just errors: missing row scopes, code redundancy, formatting, improper capitalisation, bad links, incomplete links, etc. There are some other issues as well. --AussieLegend () 14:23, 26 April 2018 (UTC)
Ahh very well. Understandable. Babelcolour5 (talk) 15:23, 26 April 2018 (UTC)

Abusive/hostile set

Why no mention that Perrette left while claiming she was assaulted on set? In 2019 she claimed she is terrified of Mark Harmon - her apparent harasser/assaulter. Why the white wash? Given her background as well as Harmon's physical abuse (in character) of his (on camera) subordinates (the early series shows typically have a scene with him hitting a fellow actor - in the head as if that would be tolerated in a government agency...) her claims need corroboration, but still, they were widely reported.40.142.185.108 (talk) 17:18, 18 June 2019 (UTC)

Crossovers

Can the crossover section be formatted as a table like in NCIS: Los Angeles? Mn1548 (talk) 09:47, 22 June 2019 (UTC)

Broadcast ratings table – Seasons 13 and 14 averages are L+SD figures?

In the ratings table, the viewership figures for NCIS's seasons 13 and 14 are from TVByTheNumbers.com. But since the 2015-16 season, Live-Plus-Seven viewership figures have generally been used for the year-end broadcast-tv Nielsen rankings instead of L+SD or Live-Plus-Three. Changing those L+SD figures would require removing the (archived) TVBTN source and replacing them with Deadline. I'm not sure at this point if I should go ahead with this edit.Jim856796 (talk) 03:57, 16 January 2021 (UTC)

Character Descriptions

I was wondering if we should put short biographies about each character, including what role they play now, what they did before they joined, etc. Would this add too many spoilers, as some of the characters on the list left the show? TheGothPoet (talk) 17:23, 6 May 2021 (UTC)

@TheGothPoet: List of NCIS characters already contains that information and this article links there to avoid the main article becoming too long. You are welcome to add information there if you think some vital information is missing, although character biographies should not list every tiny thing. As for spoilers, we don't care about those. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, people coming here can and should expect full information (see also WP:SPOILER). Regards SoWhy 18:47, 6 May 2021 (UTC)
