Name change to Hirak of the Rif

[edit]

Hello/Azul TheseusHeLl, why did you move the article back to "Hirak Rif"? You cited WP:COMMONNAME, but I haven't seen any English-language sources that use this name. "Hirak Rif" might make sense in French, but it doesn't in English. In English it would have to be something like the "Rif Hirak" or the "Hirak of the Rif." If it's supposed to be a transliteration of حراك الريف, I think it should be "Hirak Ar-Rif." إيان بريم (talk) 18:58, 12 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Azul @إيان بريم: I think the title should stay "Hirak Rif" or changing it to "Hirak Movement" or "Hirak Rif Movement". Your concerns are understandable, but "Hirak of the Rif" is an uncommon name for these demonstrations. From my research this is what some English-speaking newspapers/websites are using.
@TheseusHeLl: "Hirak Rif Movement" seems good. إيان بريم (talk) 02:16, 13 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, you can move it if you want. -TheseusHeLl (talk) 02:19, 13 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Update the Legacy part

[edit]

In the legacy part of the article it says no demands were not answered, but in the above article it says that the state responded to their demands, this is a contradiction! The rif area had significantly changed since 2018 in terms of infrastructure and economically. I think we should update the source Retcycube (talk) 10:04, 3 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Additionally the source interviews an immigrant, which probably hasn't visited the area since he was asked why he escaped to europe, so logically he has no way of knowing if the hirak 's original demands were answered Retcycube (talk) 10:08, 3 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
