Well written article; doesn't look like it'll need very much alteration before it can declared a good one. - Jarry1250 (t, c) 12:41, 18 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

GA review (see here for criteria)

A nice piece of work, just a couple of things to tick off.

  1. It is reasonably well written.
    a (prose): b (MoS):
The lead section could do with a little expansion to cover all of the main points of the article.
  2. It is factually accurate and verifiable.
a (references): b (citations to reliable sources): c (OR):
The last sentence of the article needs a cite; consider merging refs 10 and 11.
  3. It is broad in its coverage.
    a (major aspects): b (focused):
Maybe we could have a short summary of what happened 1905-1939 and 1945-1970 (just a sentence, or half of one), but only if it can be cited, of course.
  4. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias:
  5. It is stable.
    No edit wars etc.:
  6. It is illustrated by images, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free images have fair use rationales): b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
I do like the images; you might consider touching them up (or not, for that authentic look).
  7. Overall:
    Pass/Fail:
Just a couple of things to fix All good

Hello, Jarry1250, and thank you for taking the time to perform the GA review on this article. I believe that I have addressed all of the suggestions made in your review, with the exception of "short summary of what happened 1905-1939 and 1945-1970." Although I recognize the omission of this information is an inherent weakness in the article, I could find no information about these periods in any of the reference material available to me. I hope that these modifications meet with your approval. Alphageekpa (talk) 12:05, 19 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fair enough, we're only human. Duly passed, with the traditional suggestion that you go review someone else's potentially good article. - Jarry1250 (t, c) 12:44, 19 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen; Our home (1942~1964) was within four city blocks of A&B Allentown; and my older brother was an accountant for A&B. I may require help adding to the LEHIGH VALLEY portion of the Pennsylvania Portal project. This is my first 'edit' attempt.70.15.231.113 (talk) 07:11, 27 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
