Cover version?

[edit]

If one looks into a more detailed history of this song (like in the Billboard Book of Number One Hits by Fred Bronson), you'd find that Clive Davis had already decided that Monica would record the song BEFORE it was even given to Eternal as a single for their hits compilation. In that case, is it right to call Monica's the "covered" version, or to say that it was written FOR Eternal? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.148.182.115 (talk) 01:02, 14 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

IP user deleting chart references, adding incorrect info

[edit]

IP user 2605:e000:4f09:ab00:7ca6:4cde:baf5:d999 made three successive edits on the same day, within minutes of each other.

Edit #1 of 3: 887890377 @ 14:08, 15 March 2019. Note: nothing is wrong with current chart entry format (over half of the entries in the charts section are in this format). More importantly, IP user deleted the current chart entries and references, also added two charts for the wrong song ("First Night", rather than "Angel of Mine") and added a chart entry with a dead link (Canada Adult Contemporary chart). They fixed the dead link, but didn't correct the wrong song titles.
Additional note RE the insertion of chart info for the wrong song: on this edit (#1 of 3), of the four chart entries that were changed, 2 had the correct song name versus the other 2 which had the incorrect song name. So it's not likely that this user was mistakenly editing the WP article for the wrong song.
Edit #2 of 3: 887890972 @ 14:13, 15 March 2019. Note: No edit summary, and continued to delete current chart entries/refs. Piggyback edit of #1.
Edit #3 of 3: 887891353 @ 14:17, 15 March 2019. Note: No edit summary; corrected chart error made in #1, but did not correct the two chart entries for the wrong song. Piggyback edit of #1.

Because I never asked for rollback privileges (thought I could manage without it), I had to separately revert edits #2 and 3 before I could revert #1 (which added the charts for the wrong song). However, user 2605:e000:4f09:ab00:7ca6:4cde:baf5:d999 quickly reverted my revert of #3 and my revert of #2 literally within minutes. I have reverted Edit #3 and #2 again in order to revert the problematic Edit #1; to prevent an edit war, a note is also included in these edit summaries to discuss further changes on this talk page thread instead of reverting.
