SS Maj general Michael Deka Phukan alias Michael Asom (real name Joy Chandra Das) is the current Deputy C-i-c of ULFA (I) from 2020 onwards following the surrender of Drishti Rajkhowa.[1][2] Deka Phukan hails from Amlaga village in Sonitpur district and oversees the outfit's camp in Sagaing Region of Myanmar.[3][4]
