Fictional character biography

[edit]

Origin

[edit]

Morg served as a herald of Galactus after Galactus' previous herald, Nova, was expelled for sparing suitable but inhabited planets. Subsequently, prior to consuming his latest planet, Galactus was confronted by the executioner Morg, who showed no fear towards him. Impressed with Morg and wary after losing several heralds, Galactus employs him as his latest herald.[1][2][3]

Galactus' herald

[edit]

One of Galactus' former heralds, the Silver Surfer, comes into conflict with Morg after learning that he has replaced Nova.[2][4] During this time, Morg discovers the Well of Life, which enhances his powers.[1][2][5] Despite this, he is killed by Terrax.[6][1]

Months later, Galactus resurrects Morg to give him a second chance, intentionally reducing his power.[2][7][8][9] Morg is later kidnapped by Tyrant, who siphons his energy. Morg obtains the Ultimate Nullifier and attempts to use it against Tyrant, but the Nullifier explodes, killing him.[1][2][10][11][12][13]

Later, Morg is resurrected through unrevealed means and works with Galactus' other heralds to battle the Reckoning and save Eternity.[14][15]

Powers and abilities

[edit]

Morg wields the Power Cosmic, which grants him vast cosmic abilities. He possesses superhuman physical traits, can generate cosmic energy, and does not require oxygen, food or sleep to survive. Additionally, he wields a double-bladed cosmic axe and was further augmented by the Well of Life.[16][17]

In other media

[edit]

A Morg Minimate was produced as part of the Toys "R" Us exclusive Heralds of Galactus boxset.[18][needs update]

A Marvel Legends figure of Morg was produced as part of the HasLab Marvel Legends line.
