English: Cycle lanes on Maliesingel in Utrecht (2007). Note the cars parked in the bike lane on the far side of the street. In 2018 the road was redeveloped to emphasize bicycle and pedestrian transport by creating a central two-way travel lane for cars and advisory bike lanes on either side, plus a designated parking lane. This change was possible because of improvements to car-oriented streets elsewhere in the city. See more here
