Summary

Description

(June 21, 1983) Space Shuttle Challenger's STS-7 crew poses for a group portrait on the forward flight deck. Left to right are Mission Specialist Sally Ride, Commander Robert Crippen, Pilot Frederick Hauck, Mission Specialist Norman Thagard and Mission Specialist John Fabian. Sally Ride was the first American woman to fly in space and NASA's youngest astronaut at the time.
