English: Bastrop State Park Lake in Bastrop County, Texas, United States is prime breeding habitat for the endangered Houston toad. The lake is closed to the public during their mating season in February, March, and April. The lake drained when the impounding earthen dam failed on May 25, 2015, due to heavy rains in the Bastrop area.
