Barwidgi is a rural locality in the Shire of Mareeba, Queensland, Australia.[2] In the 2021 census, Barwidgi had "no people or a very low population".[1]
Geography
[edit]The Tate River forms most of the northern boundary. The Rocky Tate River and the Sandy Tate River both flow through the locality on their way to join the Tate.[3]
Ootann Road runs through from north to south-east.[4]
The Tablelands railway line passes through the locality, which were served by the following railway stations:
- Gelaro railway station (17°34′39″S 144°37′03″E / 17.5774°S 144.6175°E)[5]
- Bullock Creek railway station (17°42′40″S 144°30′50″E / 17.7112°S 144.5140°E)[5]
