The 1958 Washington Redskins season was the franchise's 27th season in the National Football League. The team failed to improve on their 5–6–1 record from 1957 and finished 4–7–1. This was the first season to feature the feather logo on the back of the helmet.
From the 1955 season until 1962, the Redskins were the last bastion of racial segregation in the NFL, refusing to include black players on their roster, unlike the other 12 teams in the league.[1]
