Hongseong County (홍성군) is in South Chungcheong.

[edit]It is located in the central part of the west coast of Chungcheongnam-do. The east-west length is 29 km and the north-south length is 23.5 km, and the total length of the coastline combining the land branch and the island department is 22.94 km. The area is 444.08km², accounting for 5.4% of the total area of Chungcheongnam-do. As of 2018, the population was 103,360 people, accounting for 4.7% of the total population of Chungcheongnam-do.
