Nonsan is a city of about 125,000 (2018) in South Chungcheong. Nonsan is a place that combines traditions and modern developments, and has many various tourist attractions and historic sites especially from the Joseon Dynasty.

One of Nonsan's most famous landmarks is the Baekje Military Museum in Nonsan, which offers a glimpse into the region's ancient history through military-related relics and exhibitions from the Baekje period. Also, Gwanchoksa is a temple built during the Goryeo Dynasty and is an important heritage of Buddhist culture, as it houses Eunjin Mirak, a standing stone Maitreya Bodhisattva.

Daedunsan Provincial Park, where you can enjoy nature, is famous for its magnificent rocky mountains and beautiful trails, and Topjeong Lake is a beautiful lake where local residents and tourists can relax and enjoy fishing or walking.

Nonsan is also famous for its Ganggyeong salted fish. Ganggyeong is an area that has flourished as a market for salted fish since ancient times, where you can taste various kinds of salted fish.

Nonsan is a city with various tourist attractions where you can feel the charm of history, nature, and agriculture at the same time. Gyeryongsan National Park, Myeongjae gotack, and Ganggyeong Salted Fish Village are representative tourist attractions.

In addition to this, Nonsan has the experience of Topjeongho Lake, which boasts various natural landscapes, and strawberry farm where you can experience traditional rural life. Topjeongho Lake is a popular attraction for family visitors as it has beautiful lake views, bicycle paths, fishing, and walking paths around the lake. The strawberry farm experience is a fun activity where you can harvest and taste strawberries, a special product of Nonsan, and is popular with many tourists.

In addition, Nonsan has the Nonsan Training Center, Korea's largest military training center, which is an important military facility for many young people to receive military training. There are many facilities for family visits around the center, so visitors related to joining the military often visit as well.

The four seasons of spring, summer, autumn, and winter are distinct, and the average annual temperature is 10.8℃ due to the temperate climate, and the average temperature in August is 25.2℃, and the average temperature in January, which is the coldest, is -5.4℃.
