Hello, Xc1181, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with Wiki Education; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Medical content editing

[edit]

Hello - welcome to Wikipedia. You have chosen to edit medical articles at retinol, retinoid, and antioxidant, where your choice of sources and content has stimulated my edits or reversals. These topics may be unfamiliar to you, yet they require advanced understanding for choosing sources and description; see WP:MEDRS. It also appears your contributions as a student and new user have not been screened by your course instructor, FULBERT. Notice to Ian (Wiki Ed). Zefr (talk) 22:08, 21 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Other of your edits to medical and medical-related articles have been reverted because the text you added was overly broad, and thus not supported by the references you provided. Includes Supervised learning, Unsupervised learning, Botulinum toxin, Artificial intelligence. FULBERT. Notice to Ian (Wiki Ed) David notMD (talk) 05:36, 22 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Zefr @David notMD Thank you for your clarification and suggestions for @Xc1181. I will work with them to further explain and address what happened. I greatly appreciate your taking the time to add this feedback. FULBERT (talk) 07:01, 25 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Xc1181 is clearly editing in good faith (not vandalizing) and in all instances that were reverted, including at least one reference. In some of the reverted edits the reference did not meet WP:MEDRS requirements, for example, was about animal research. In others, the text content went beyond the conclusions of the reference.
