[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 17:08, 4 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

POV at immigration article

[edit]

Hi. Welcome to Wikipedia, but I noticed serious POV problems with your edits at the article on illegal immigration. Specifically, you misrepresented source material in order to make it sound more favorable to illegal immigrants. Please understand that Wikipedia is expected to remain neutral, and you should not seek to shape a Wikipedia page to your personal political views. Source material must be faithfully represented, not molded to a particular point of view. All are welcome to edit Wikipedia, but please take greater care with your edits in the future. If you must edit at a contentious topic that is likely to be the subject of disputes, please take extra care to ensure that your edits are not biased, and seek feedback from other users before making major additions to the page. Some advice and some help

[edit]

Remember always that Wikipedia is not a venue for original research; indeed, one argument for removal of an article will be that it contains original research and synthesis.

But for other research in the area you describe, for use outside Wikipedia, I strongly recommend "The Deportation Terror" by Rachel Ida Buff, which appeared in American Quarterly Volume 60, Number 3, September 2008. --Orange Mike | Talk 12:46, 26 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Help us improve the Wikipedia Education Program

[edit]

Hi Victoria.delgado! As a student editor on Wikipedia, you have a lot of valuable experience about what it's like to edit as a part of a classroom assignment. In order to help other students like you enjoy editing while contributing positively to Wikipedia, it's extremely helpful to hear from real student editors about their challenges, successes, and support needs. Please take a few minutes to answer these questions by clicking below. (Note that the responses are posted to a public wiki page.) Thanks!
