I don't understand how my edits could be described as vandalism. I was simply undoing the edits of a previous vandal ("Dr.V.R.Unnikrishnan") that had been involved in an undo war with "Bon Courage". I also undid an edit that purported to improve grammar, but in fact, made it less readable. Could you explain how that is vandalism? (I am fairly new to Wikipedia but I don't understand this report). Language Boi (talk) 17:34, 20 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Take a look at your edits. You reinstated the vandal's changes, and undid an appropriate grammar fix, changing it to "Some homeopaths credit for the revival to Greek homeopath". I'll strikethrough my warning but if you're undoing specific revisions you should try to be aware of what changes you're making. Cannolis (talk) 17:45, 20 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Oh... I didn't mean to reinstate the vandalism, I must have clicked the wrong undo button.
As for the grammar edit, the verb 'credit' in English uses the preposition 'to' to indicate a dative case. You can give a gift to someone, that's a different meaning than to give a gift for someone. For would be the benefactive case, indicating that the homeopaths are crediting the revival to a an unknown source, on behalf of the Greek homeopath. Maybe it's unclear to you, that's just how I saw it. I would be happy to see if others see the use of 'for' clearer than using 'to'.
I will be more careful in the future of what was being undone, thank you for explaining. Language Boi (talk) 17:56, 20 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Update: several people I have asked said that 'to' was clearer in this context then 'for'. Language Boi (talk) 17:57, 20 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Whatever, you fix the page how you want. I have other edits to make. Language Boi (talk) 17:59, 20 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
