Using bare URLs

[edit]

Hi JohnnyCoal. Your well-sourced contributions are appreciated, but please avoid bare URLs as they lead to link rot. See Citing sources and Referencing for beginners for step-by-step instructions. I'm happy to assist if you have questions. Muhandes (talk) 13:16, 24 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Muhandes ! Thank you so much, and, I'm deeply sorry! I will fix my current contributions where bare links have been used, and will make sure to not use bare links ever again in the future. JohnnyCoal (talk) 13:20, 24 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Updating caps and stats

[edit]

Hello, I'm Robby.is.on. Welcome to Wikipedia! I just wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions were not quite right. When updating statistics within the infobox of a footballer, please make sure you update the timestamp at the same time, so that both readers and fellow editors know when the information was last updated.

You can do this by replacing the existing timestamp within the |club-update= or |pcupdate= parameter for club stats, or the |nationalteam-update= or |ntupdate= parameter for international stats. For articles that use a DMY date format, use five tildes (~~~~~), or for MDY dates, use {{subst:mdytime}}. This will generate the specific time the update was made.

If you have any questions about this, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you, Robby.is.on (talk) 23:21, 26 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I went ahead and updated both the infobox and the table. Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 23:26, 26 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Robby! Thank you for your precious advice. I understand, and thank you for the heads up and the advice. Appreciate! Will make sure to follow your schema when editing footballers stats. JohnnyCoal (talk) 09:06, 27 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You're welcome. Great! :-) Happy editing, Robby.is.on (talk) 18:11, 27 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

CryptoPunks

[edit]

Hi Johnny, I've appreciated your edits to the CryptoPunks article and believe you would like to see it improved as I do. You may have noticed there's another editor who continues to delete entire sections without discussion. I've tried to work it out on Talk to no avail, so I've taken it to the dispute noticeboard and if you have the time I think your comments there could be useful. [1] Seanbonner (talk) 19:55, 13 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Sean! Thanks for your kind words. Definitely, and I will follow your advice. I also tried to request a page protection but I was told the level of vandalism is not as high as the standard wants, in order for it to get semi-protected or protected. XCOPY

[edit]

Hey there hope you're doing well. We've been trying to make some edits to the XCOPY page, at the request of the artist, and they seem to be getting deleted. Would you mind letting them stand, or helping us understand why they’re being deleted? We’re hoping to work together to sort this out so we can revise the page and make it more accurate/updated. Thanks, hope to hear from you soon. Jessekaltman (talk) 14:17, 23 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there! The edits on XCOPY are being reverted for a variety of reasons, including but not limited to poorly sourced content, basic copyediting, non-neutral point of view, use of primary sources and others. You are free to contribute to the article by following the three core Wikipedia content policies. If you wish to discuss this furthermore, you can add your rationale to the related article talk page. SuperRare moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, SuperRare, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. PRAXIDICAE💕 14:23, 2 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Praxidicae,
Thank you; I know, that's why I submit the under construction template on said page. I'll improve the article soon. 17:39, 2 June 2022 (UTC) JohnnyCoal (talk) 17:39, 2 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

July 2022

[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Lord Belbury. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Rare Pepe, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. This needs a stronger reference than thesource.com/bitcoinmagazine.com and the project's own website. I was unable to find any such sources myself. Lord Belbury (talk) 10:59, 22 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:SuperRare

[edit]

Hello, JohnnyCoal. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or draft page you started, "SuperRare".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion.
