Your user name and pages are confusing. Please change your user name - if you do not, the user name may be blocked from editing. Please refrain from putting confusing notices on the top of your pages. Thanks, ugen64 22:59, 5 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Note:User vandalised this page, but otherwise seems to have made good contributions. Vandalism can be seen in history. Valid 23:20, 5 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Please don't persist in your disruptive tactics. --Dante Alighieri | Talk 23:28, Jan 5, 2005 (UTC)

I concur, Dante. Wikipedia should not be disrupted to illustrate a point. However, I'm unsure as to how this relates to me and I suggest you refrain from adding this to other peoples talkpages, even though it could be a valuable lesson. Thanks, and happy (late) new year, Valid 23:31, 5 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Your warning

[edit]

I've edited you warning above. No admin will block someone because the edited your talk page, so it's not fair to threaten that they will. I also edited your "invalid subpage", because directing people offsite is daft. I'm assuming you are a sockpuppet account, but in case you are in fact a new user - welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks! I'm not on a sock but I've been reading about policies and such, preparing for a long time to create an account. It kept telling me "User name invalid" when I tried to make my username I smiley name, so I just did called myself this instead. Can't you block someone if they vandalise a talkpage? My talkpage was recently cleared. Valid 23:55, 5 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Your username has been blocked indefinitely because it is either inappropriate or too similar to an existing username (see our blocking policy for more information). You are encouraged to create a new account and contribute to Wikipedia under a more appropriate username, and in a constructive manner. See Wikipedia:Username for guidance on selecting an appropriate username. You may also edit Wikipedia without creating an account. You are not allowed to edit Wikipedia under an inappropriate username. If you would like to discuss the block, you may edit your talk page or email the administrator who blocked you.

Due to Wikipedia's mechanism for enforcing name changes, your IP address may be temporarily blocked. Unless you have also been engaging in vandalism or impersonation of another user, we will remove that block as soon as possible—if this doesn't happen within an hour or so, please email an administrator and explain the situation (see the list of administrators).

If you want to keep the contributions from your old account for your new one, leave a note on Wikipedia:Changing username. This can only be done before you create the new one. If you wish to create a new username, please visit Wikipedia:Changing username for information.
