Use of stub template

[edit]

Hi, just a friendly note regarding the use of {{stub}}, it is not needed to place the template at the bottom of nearly every section. Also, it is an idea to choose a more appropriate stub template, see WP:STUB for details. Happy editing! --NigelJ talk 12:49, 25 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hadith

[edit]

Salam, and thanks for the message. I have not looked to deeply into it, but it looks good and neutral, good job. --Striver - talk 11:30, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Books

[edit]

Yeah, i expanded many of the Sunni books, but never got around to create Shi'a, so im glad that somebody is doing that. Your spelling seems right according to google, al-Islam.org uses that.

By the way, have you seen Terrorstorm?

Ma salam and thanks for the cooperative spirit :) --Striver - talk 12:10, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Good job! --Striver - talk 13:35, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Barnstar awarded to Hamid-Masri from Striver for successfully contributing to both Shi'a and Sunni articles, recognizing that Wikipedia is about presenting facts and knowledge in contrast to being a battlefield of views.

Well, be proud over your actions, don't let it depend on me :) Ma salam. --Striver - talk 17:50, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fatimah

[edit]

User:Klaksonn removed your edits regarding Fatimah's death. I personally have no inclination to get into another argument with him, but I just wanted to let you know in case you want to do anything about it.--Slacker 15:52, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

response

[edit]

Salam brother. I have responded on Talk:Hadith of Sabra reporting on the prohibition of Mut'ah. --Striver - talk 09:55, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Hamid-Masri. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image (Image:IttihadIskandary.jpg) was found at the following location: User:Hamid-Masri. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Please find a free image or media to replace it with, and or remove the image from your userspace. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 09:36, 16 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Help with an article

[edit]

Hello Hamid, would you be willing to take up this task on the article "Arab Christians"? A certain user insists on inserting this statement regarding jizya: "Those who couldn't afford it were left with two options: either convert to the new-comer religion, or face execution--according to the Shar'iah law." The user later added three sources, two of which are of questionable validity due to their partisan and sectarian nature, and in any case do not say that "those who couldn't afford" were subject to exeuction. The third source does state that, but offers no citation. Can you please show that this is not the case? You can use sources from the article "jizya" that speak of exemptions for the poor, the elderly, and the like. I would do so myself, but I'll be travelling soon and won't be able to follow up on it. Let me know what you think. Thanks. Slacker 04:16, 21 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyya

[edit]

Thank you for the invitation to participate in the discussion about the hadith of Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyya. I looked at the article, and I do not feel that I can help you much. I can easily copyedit English text, but comparing it against the Arabic original would take me too much time.

I don't understand why there are so many alternate versions of the story - with and without the two cloaks. Maybe this is a characteristic of all the hadith. If so, there should be a consensus among concerned users how this should be handled. All similar articles should be handled the same way.

Good luck. Cbdorsett 09:39, 21 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Could you check one small word change in an article you started? As mentioned in my change comments, I think that the one place that the word 'Jurisprudent' was used it should have been 'Jurisprudence'.

But since the text says

The literal translation of the title Man la yahduruhu al-Faqih is For him not in the Presence of Jurisprudent.

I didn't want to change the translation/quote, since as I don't know Arabic it wouldn't be right for me to just change it. The word 'Jurisprudence' _is_ used later in the text....

Thanks. Shenme (talk) 09:29, 21 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
