There is a user I suspect of being the latest incarnation of a long running sockfarm. Another editor ran a checkuser, and it was confirmed, but the socks were not blocked. There is a SSP case lodged as well, I posted the result of the RFCU there and nothing's happened. I posted it at WP:ANI and it got archived for being over 24 hrs old (as if a problem being more than a day old ceases to exist).

This person has been playing silly buggers on here for ages disrupting others' work, there is proof that he is engaging in sockpuppetry to evade sanctions and yet nothing happens.

I'm basically getting a little sick of this. Dibo T | C 07:56, 15 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, there, you may remember we discussed this, the other night. Sorry I wasn't more helpful, at the time, and also that AN/I proved less fruitful than it usually does, for these situations. In any case, I've had a look over things, and I've blocked all accounts mentioned at Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/Elvisandhismagicpelvis, Wikipedia:Requests for checkuser/Case/Tomasthetankengine, and User talk:Jpgordon#Elvisandhismagicpelvis. I believe that covers everything, for now, yes? – Luna Santin (talk) 08:54, 15 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Recent Change for Mariners Player

All I did as a general Wikipedian and Mariners Supporter was update his stats for the Season after last weeks game, and this was the reply I got from "Dibo"... God damn dude, either get some english lessons or learn how to not critisize the work of others. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Somerandom12345 (talkcontribs) 11:16, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

He's back

[edit]

I thought he had actually gone for good this time, but I was apparently wrong: Special:Contributions/Bumchewer. Mark Chovain 09:29, 27 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That was odd... Good to see the wheels moved pretty quickly. All was sorted before I even saw the comments! :) Dibo T | C 00:22, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah - I reported him to WP:AIV immediately, as he's an obvious sock of a banned user. He was back again last night, too (Special:Contributions/Poosnorter), but he's already blocked again. It's more effort for him to re-register and vandalise than it is for us to have him blocked, so I guess we just keep doing this until he gets bored. Mark Chovain 01:37, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Lol. Dibo you are my bitch. I provoked you back onto wikipedia. Now bark for me bitch. I own you. --Poosnortingsenility 03:05, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Vote for Football as the Australian collaboration

[edit]

Hi -- I recently nominated Wikipedia:WikiProject Football (soccer) in Australia/To-do for the Australian Collaboration of the Fortnight.

This WikiProject has been inactive for a long time and with the World Cup coming up, it would be good for football (soccer) articles to be in depth and comprehensive in Australia.

If you would like to support it, click here for the project page to cast your vote

Thanks! Australian Matt (talk) 02:40, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
