Sorry to bother

To Mr Chris G

im just a member from the general public who cam across some vandalism and got confused with all the help pages to fix the problem.

this vandalism occured on "The Beatles" page in the first line. I quote "The Beatles were a pop and rock group who sucked a lot of cock from Liverpool, England who are recognised for leading the mid-1960s musical "British Invasion" into the United States."

I tried to edit the page but it was semi protected and i couldnt so it would be great if you could do something about it as the wiki help thing is so complicated and wasted an hour and a half of my time and didnt do much.

thanks for your help.

SoxBot V shut down

Hi there, Chris G.

Unfortunately, my bot has been shut down by Brion, due to saving well over 50k of revisions. I talked to them, and they said that your bot should also be shut down. I leave the decision to keep it up or take down to you, but the sysadmins may shut it down without your wanting it too.

I hate to tell you this, but the sysadmins have more power over the BAG. Soxred 93 20:06, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

I know that space (especially in the database is precious) but surely this is a bit mad?? ~~ [Jam][talk] 20:24, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
Meh if the devs want it shutdown I'll shut it down --Chris 09:22, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

Request

Greeting! In the article First Bulgarian Empire instead of "edit" on each section is written something in Greek (probably meaning edit) and it should be removed, can you do that? Regards, --Gligan (talk) 10:39, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

Um, they all say edit --Chris 11:48, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
Yes but they must not be in Greek and I don't know how to make them in English (or in Bulgarian ;-) Best, --Gligan (talk) 13:29, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
No, I mean when I view the page all the edit links say "edit", if you want to change the language go into Special:Preferences and change the interface language --Chris 10:06, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

Greetings. You are receiving this note as you are a member of this WikiProject. Currently there is not much of activity in the project and I am hoping to revive the project with your help. I have made a few changes to the project page Diff. You are welcome to make suggestions of improvement / changes in the design. I have also make a proposal to AutoTagg articles with {{WikiProject Computing}} for the descendant wikiprojects articles also. For your reference

Per earlier. On IRC I mentioned this incident, and you advised a block. The block was queried, partly because it was the result of discussion off-wiki. In the interests of clarity, I've unblocked, and leave this discussion to take place solely on-wiki. Apologies for not using the proper channels in the first place; I just wanted to get an opinion quickly. Best, PeterSymonds (talk) 11:18, 28 June 2008 (UTC)
