I don't know why you archived the discussion we had, it definately wasn't closed... But, anyway
You may want to check out Category:Brisbane Broncos, very interesting, considering there are lot of FA articles, when there are none. SpecialWindler talk (currently offline) 21:52, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks, good work. I ask one question, why dosen't the bot work in other namespaces, such as talk. See here, which has a talk page, which should be "A" class but is given "Stub". SpecialWindler talk (currently offline) 05:35, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

just a thought - there ought to be a space between the time and (UTC). Also, as a matter of personal preference, I think that if you're going to put the date in in yyyy-mm-dd format that the time should follow, not precede. — Timotab Timothy (not Tim dagnabbit!) 08:32, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

Someone interupted me above. The Bot (2) still obviously dosen't work. Talk:Karmichael Hunt is of "A" status not "FA" —Preceding unsigned comment added by SpecialWindler (talk • contribs) 19:24, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, sorry for signing. These little errors help you fix the bot, so I hope I'm not being a pest. SpecialWindler talk (currently offline) 09:55, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
- The main reason, I ask about the "Talk" namespace is my wish to do categories such as Category:Unassessed rugby league articles, so that if they are assessed for one WikiProject but not another then it may show up (like here). This leads to another question - What does the bot do if there are two assessments like here. SpecialWindler talk (currently offline) 09:57, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
- OK, thanks. That leads me to this question. Why didn't that work here. There are various ones rated by one WikiProject but not by the Rugby league one. Also it stopped at "H" SpecialWindler talk (currently offline) 02:25, 3 October 2007 (UTC)
- OK, I'll be on for a while still. Tell me when it's up. SpecialWindler talk (currently offline) 02:38, 3 October 2007 (UTC)
Renaming
If you are going to clerk you need to know that they can't make new names when they are close to an already existing username, the software stops it. Telling people to make a new account to fix capitalisation or spacing issues is pointless (they can't) and we generally always do those trivial ones for that reason. Why did user 216.119.8.2 modify your talk page?
Are you in some way connected to this vandal? He has repeatedly disrupted wikipedia and appears to be making edits to your page. User5802 11:22, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

You are encouraged to create a new account and contribute to Wikipedia under an appropriate username. Our username policy provides guidance on selecting your username.
Alternately, you may request a change in username if you want to keep the contributions from this account. To do so, please follow these directions:
- Add {{unblock-un|your new username here}} below. This is possible because even when you are blocked, you can still edit your own talk page.
- At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked.
- You will have 24 hours after the unblock to file a request before you may be re-blocked. Please note, you may only request a name that is not already in use; do not create the new account then request a name change. For more information, please visit Wikipedia:Changing username.
In many cases (especially if your account has few or no edits), it is much easier to create a new account. You may also edit Wikipedia without creating an account. Due to Wikipedia's mechanism for enforcing name changes, your IP address may be temporarily blocked. Unless you have also been engaging in vandalism or impersonation of another user, we will remove that block as soon as possible.
If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below or emailing the administrator who blocked you.

I am sorry you felt it necessary not to support my RfA at this time. As you probably know, my RfA did not succeed. I will attempt to get some more experience and diversify myself before applying again in two month's time. Chris G Bot 3
Hi Chris G
I love your bot, but I am not sure of two things:
- How to add your name to the list. I have added my userpage to the StatusBot category, but am not sure if that was right.
- How to have a fancier template. I have seen some users with a green symbol next to 'online' when they're online, and red for offline. How can I create that?

The article Fedora (Linux distribution) you nominated as a good article has failed , see Talk:Fedora (Linux distribution) for reasons why the nomination failed. If or when these points have been taken care of, you may apply for a new nomination of said article. If you oppose this decision, you may ask for a reassessment. Cheers, CP 03:22, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
- Not sure if you noticed, but I've made some changes to the page. I also asked CP for the informal re-assessment that he has posted in the talk page. Also, thanks for the addition of those references too. ~~ [Jam][talk] 09:02, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

Chris G Bot 3's Enabled/Disabled page
If I were to add colors to the page inside <noinclude> tags, would it disable the bot? Or is there some way to make it red on the main page if disabled and green if enabled? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gawaxay (talk • contribs) 23:54, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
- As long as the page has the text "enabled' on it the bot will run, if it is missing that text the bot will loop until enabled and if I change the text of the page to die the bot will die. --Chris G 08:06, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

If possible, I think a bot that can find who made a edit or a comment on a talk page and didn't sing there name, and knowbody signed for them. I have no progamming expirence, but i think it could work. -Tobi4242 02:04, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

Quick question
Hey Chris! I was wondering if you could help me a bit :) I know that you are a good programmer, and figured you'd be the person to ask my question to. I'm creating a bot that archives threads on ANI that are marked with the {{resolved}} template. I have the source code below, written in Python with the Pywikipedia framework, and any tips or fixes would be appreciated. Thanks! ( arky ) 05:07, 28 October 2007 (UTC)
