Please translate this article into English. It's a Spanish wiki about one of the popular anime distributor Mighty Media. They distributed lots of anime title in Asia. Like Death Note, Tiger & Bunny, Fruits Basket etc. Thank you so much.

Your Lie in April South-east Asia licensor

[edit]

Hell ChickyBros. Since you seem to be very knowledgeable about South-east Asian anime licensing, I figured I would ask you. When I started working on the Your Lie in April article, someone put in the infobox that Medialink licensed it in SEA, but that wasn't cited and I couldn't find a source to back it up, so I removed it. Do you if they or anyone else licensed the anime in English in SEA, and if so, who? Thanks in Advance -- Link20XX (talk) 05:56, 14 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! The official Thai DVD release of the series was sub-licensed from Medialink, as you can see from the promotional images here. You can also notice the Medialink's Ani-One icon on Taiwanese anime streaming service Bahamut Anime Crazy. Your Lie in April is also in the Medialink section on KKTV here.

It's hard to cite Southeast Asian licensors for older anime series these days, so I've been trying to submit articles to Anime News Network as much as I could just for the sake of valid citations to be put on Wikipedia. ChickyBros (talk) 07:06, 14 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Mighty Media moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Mighty Media, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. English Airdates for anime

[edit]

Hello, do we add English airdates for when the dubs are released or for when the episodes air on a North American channel like for example Adult Swim? Because these days animes are mostly licensed by streaming platforms for North America and even global (except some regions in some cases) like Crunchyroll and they always drop the episode on the same day as the original one. Also sometimes they release the dub on the same day too. So I'm asking whether we add it based on when the dub releases (on whatever platform like Crunchyroll or a North American channel) or when it will only air on a North American channel like Adult Swim. To better say, does it need to be released on a North American broadcast channel or we just use the air date of dub on whatever platform it is like Crunchyroll, hidive or a North American broadcast channel like Adult Swim. Parham.es (talk) 11:31, 30 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I really see English air dates only for North American TV channels. ChickyBros (talk) 20:08, 30 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

About REMOW

[edit]

Hi, as you read the command in Pon no Michi, whould you please point out that the relationship of licensed between NADA and REMOW? In Taiwan, no one can point out the licensed relationship between them. If I use Taiwan sources, REMOW should be removed as all press notes is use NADA be the license owner. If I use South Korean and Indonesia sources, NADA should be removed as all press notes is use REMOW be the license owner. HK5201314 (talk) 01:12, 6 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to reply me, please @ me in here to notice me reply it. HK5201314 (talk) 01:17, 6 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, as you can see, the It's Anime YouTube channel is owned by REMOW. You may also contact the Facebook page of It's Anime because the staff tends to respond to messages, but it can take a few days for them to respond.
As mentioned on its own website, REMOW was formed under several shareholders, but it was never said that Nada Holdings had the biggest stake.
The "It's Anime" YouTube channel also lists several platforms in the video descriptions. It's most likely that REMOW used its shareholder Nada Holdings to further spread its content to Taiwan platforms, like how the company has REMOW Korea for Korean distribution.
You can see that REMOW sends news to small outlets and posts on webboards around the same time.

Animenomics reported that REMOW was founded by Shueisha.

As you said “ It's most likely that REMOW used its shareholder Nada Holdings to further spread its content to Taiwan platforms, like how the company has REMOW Korea for Korean distribution.” That’s why nada and remow need to stand with together because it can not specify to point out that is remow send video to nada or nada send video to remow. HK5201314 (talk) 07:00, 6 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
As you can find this paragraph in remow website, you can use translate tools to find the meaning of this two paragraph. In this position, it’s seems that Remow buy licensed from Japan owner, then they buy the "localised subtitle service" and remixed them. After that, Remow sells to the overseas company like nada. As this two position, remow may be an anime distributor only and that’s why the availability of each series is only one week to four week only in his owned YouTube channels.

REMOW provides the video to Nada Holdings for Taiwan. BiliBili and iQIYI still receive the videos directly from REMOW in the region; it's only Taiwan-only platforms that received them through Nada.
And no, Nada Holdings shouldn't be included on the articles because they're not the licensor.
Moreover, the article uses "SEA" which stands for Southeast Asia. Taiwan is in East Asia.
REMOW focuses on letting their audiences watch on client platforms, hence the videos are time limited.
If you use your logic, Medialink would've been listed as the licensor for Bilibili titles. ChickyBros (talk) 23:47, 6 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Plus with what you said about REMOW. That's what Muse, Medialink, Aniplus and the likes also do: acquiring licenses from Japanese production committees, localizaling into different languages for both subtitling and dubbing, selling the programs to clients.
REMOW also produced the Thai dub for The Demon Sword Master of Excalibur Academy; not Nada. You can find the technical credits here: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/aBMzB86c4m8UhMDD
The dub did stream on It's Anime YouTube for the first few episodes before moving to TrueID in Thailand for all episodes. ChickyBros (talk) 23:58, 6 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I think the Facebook link do not mention some key information as remow do not have localised OTT platform in Thailand.
Also, you can go to Transvision OTT page, they said the anime is comes from REMOW directly.
But, those platform is not English platform, so it did not represent to all SEA Area licenses and distribution situations.
In my discussion page, someone reminded me do not put any unrelated other languages platform in en wiki. So, I think this two area is not the main concern in this discussion. HK5201314 (talk) 01:18, 7 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
My reason is that REMOW handled the localization for both English and SEA subtitling (including Thai). The Thai dubbing production company, Cartoon Club, had confirmed that they translated the series for REMOW for both Thai sub and dub.
If we have another place to discuss, I can show you. As for the Facebook link, that page is officially partnered with Bilibili. ChickyBros (talk) 03:33, 7 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Transvision *does* stream REMOW titles with English subtitles as well, not just Indonesian, so it falls undee English platform/licensees. I have screenshots to prove you. ChickyBros (talk) 03:39, 7 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have also read the Transvision page. HK5201314 (talk) 10:03, 7 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The conclusion of your found may be
SEA Chinese version :nada,
SEA English , Thai, Indonesia and Korean: remow HK5201314 (talk) 10:15, 7 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
But since Bilibili and iQIYI SEA releases are already multi-sub, there should only be one provider to the platforms which is Remow. Even if Nada made Chinese subs or not, the SEA distributor would still be Remow. ChickyBros (talk) 15:02, 7 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
But the parameters is use the word “licensed”, not “distributer”. So, it is not make sense if we write remow in “licensed”. HK5201314 (talk) 00:40, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The licensor is still REMOW. Do you still have clear evidence to put Nada Holdings for SEA? However, *just saying*, for Wikipedia, in case there is a home video release, the distributor who obtained the sublicense should be put up there instead of the licensor. (For example, Jujutsu Kaisen is Viz Media instead of Crunchyroll) ChickyBros (talk) 01:22, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You can use this link be reference (https://home.gamer.com.tw/artwork.php?sn=5843131) HK5201314 (talk) 00:56, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have read that article before you sent me. But I believe Wikipedia wouldn't accept that kind of blog posts and other editors may remove it from the article later. If you have a source that Nada Holdings holds the majority/controlling stake of Remow, please send me. Thank you. ChickyBros (talk) 03:18, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Do you understand why he use this pattern to show up?
NADA HOLDINGS/TROPICS ENTERTAINMENT/REMOW
Because they do have any evidence to show that REMOW licensed in Chinese version in SEA. And all sources in Chinese is pointed to NADA, not REMOW. If you cannot find evidence with Chinese Version, please use (with English, Korean… version only) HK5201314 (talk) 18:20, 9 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I believe you missed my point. English Wikipedia has many more active editors and edits may be reverted back if the source is just a compiled list made by a forum/website user. Third-party sources by well-known news websites, followed by direct links from the licensors, are better to be added.
And for the English article, if we know exactly how many % that Nada has in REMOW or it's more than other stakeholders, it'd be really helpful. ChickyBros (talk) 17:38, 10 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Then, you can see the nada page (https://nadaholdings.com/about/), why REMOW, REMOW Anime Onegai, Bilibili, IQIYI is in the same area? HK5201314 (talk) 01:00, 7 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The website lists them as part of the "Collaborators", not necesarily clients or IP providers - which makes the field of companies even larger.
Some Nada co-productions also get licensed to Crunchyroll/Funimation. ChickyBros (talk) 02:18, 7 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Although remow have licensed to distribute anime to different country in Asia, this can not judge. But in en wiki, the importance issues is English network. In OTT platform list of REMOW, only IQIYI and Bilibili is in English network and they are also mentioned in NADA Page. In this case, there is no evidence to justify is nada or remow provide series to these two platforms. HK5201314 (talk) 02:53, 7 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Also, IQIYI is provide series to Chinese area- Taiwan and English area- Singapore, how to explain this situation? HK5201314 (talk) 03:02, 7 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You can just message the It's Anime Facebook page. I already mentioned that they are responsive. The licenses are from REMOW. ChickyBros (talk) 03:26, 7 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Open Source? HK5201314 (talk) 09:53, 7 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Also, if you have the interest to submit your research to English anime network, this is welcome and it is more easier to write the remow article in zh wiki. But please make sure you have the evidence of remow and nada in email format reply. HK5201314 (talk) 09:58, 7 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have sent news tips to Anime News Network a lot of times. That helped with me making an article for Muse, as well as mentioning iQIYI steams for Southeast Asia. I will do it again. ChickyBros (talk) 15:00, 7 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
As you have enough evidence of remow and nada, why don’t write an article in en wiki and let me to improve the zh wiki by your research. HK5201314 (talk) 10:00, 7 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I want to create an article for REMOW sometime (I made one for Medialink and one for Muse in English). I just want them to have more titles and news coverage by more websites first. ChickyBros (talk) 14:59, 7 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It is very difficult to write article if you do not read nada information. HK5201314 (talk) 00:42, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I never said to do it now, plus the article may have some mentions of Nada, but Nada should NOT be the main focus unless it's an article for Nada itself. ChickyBros (talk) 03:08, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
