Speedy deletion nomination of Marwiya
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Marwiya, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Spellanza Baguma Muhenda requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Red link categories
[edit]Hello, BalukuBrian,
Please do not add nonexistent, red link categories to articles. See WP:REDNO for details. If you have questions, please visit the Teahouse. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 19:25, 13 April 2021 (UTC)
- You've continued to add red link categories to articles. If you persist, you are likely to receive an editing block as this is disruptive editing. Liz Read! Talk! 16:05, 14 April 2021 (UTC)
Links to draft articles
[edit]Please do not introduce links in actual articles to draft articles, as you did to Zahara Toto and Annatalia Oze. Since a draft is not yet ready for the main article space, it is not in shape for ordinary readers, and links from articles should not go to a draft. Such links are contrary to the Manual of Style. These links have been removed. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 11:08, 14 April 2021 (UTC)

[edit]Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Draft:Anne Mary Kobugabe Tumwine. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively, you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Florence Nampijja moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Florence Nampijja, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Wikipedia and copyright
[edit]Hello BalukuBrian! Your additions to Galt Memorial have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. I also found similar problems on Kibubura Girls' Secondary School. Please put things into your own words. Thank you. Sennecaster (Chat) 13:45, 30 September 2022 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Kibubura Church
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Kibubura Church requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.monitor.co.ug/OpEd/Commentary/Luwums-birth--Northwest-Ankole-Diocese-Laity/689364-4103216-qrtk29z/index.html and entire thing is copied/close paraphrasing that barely escapes Earwig's cv detector. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
The article Galt Memorial has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
None of the current sources go into the memorial at all, and searches did not turn up anything else.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Onel5969 TT me 10:57, 19 October 2022 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Man-made lakes

Speedy deletion nomination of Jovia Mutesi
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Jovia Mutesi requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
Liz Read! Talk! 09:04, 22 November 2023 (UTC)
- This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because Jovia Mutesi became the Queen of Busoga Kingdom after she got married to William Gabula on the 18 November 2023. She is considered the mother of Busoga in Uganda.
- And also this article is written from a Neutral point of view (NPOV) and also it includes sources such as New Vision and Daily Monitor which are verifiable and reliable sources in Uganda.
- And i believe I followed the Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons. She just does not have much information out there on the internet. BalukuBrian (talk) 09:27, 22 November 2023 (UTC)

My humble request is that you be adding the rules or policies that led to the removal or reversion of that particular edit because if the WP:GALLERY was added in the edit summary, I would have read it first before reverting your edit. [edit]Short descriptions
[edit]Hi B722N, I noticed you've been adding short descriptions to articles, but some of these were added improperly. Firstly, your short descriptions started with a lower case letter; per WP:SDFORMAT, short descriptions should start with a capital letter. Secondly, some of your short descriptions weren't placed at the start of the article; per MOS:ORDER, short descriptions should be the first element in the page, before any hatnotes and infoboxes. Please read Wikipedia:Short descriptions for more information. Thank you. Liu1126 (talk) 15:11, 10 October 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm MolecularPilot. I noticed that you recently removed content from Kajjansi without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. I noticed you added some hashtags to the edit summary but you didn't say why you removed the images. If you still think they don't belong, please explain why in the edit summary. Thank you! Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did at Luweero District, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Thank you. - the infobox templates that are being removed are broken as in they show that infobox start, and infobox end, that is all B722N (talk) 06:12, 12 October 2024 (UTC)
- I understand now, I left that warning before you posted your explanation above. That seems valid, you can probably remove these warnings now!
- I'd recommend you leave an edit summary explaining this rather than the "removing image(s)" summary you had before because it might prevent other editors from reverting for unexplained removal. MolecularPilot 06:14, 12 October 2024 (UTC)
