Hey - I noticed your recent comment on the US trademark law talk page. I just rewrote a lot of the page. Any thoughts? Interested in adding to it? Teachingaway (talk) 17:10, 26 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the help! i replied to your questions on my "talk" page.Teachingaway (talk) 14:56, 27 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Shiva Ayyadurai, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Springer (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

File permission problem with File:V.A.Shiva.2012.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:V.A.Shiva.2012.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. 18:04, 10 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Help with an article draft

[edit]

Hello, I'm Tarheel95. I'm working on an article for the United States Supreme Court case Reed Elsevier v. Muchnick regarding copyright infringement law jurisdiction. I could use some help with the draft of the article, if you're interested, it's located at my sandbox Thanks! Tarheel95 (Sprechen) 02:33, 2 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from VWBot. I have performed a search with the contents of EchoMail, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: Echomail. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. VWBot (talk) 20:58, 6 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,

I've noticed that you made some recent edits to Compulsory license. I also notice that you are a relatively new editor, and have a page going in your sandbox on trade secrets. I was wondering if you thought it would be rude if I assisted-interfered (a continuum, depending on how helpful i am perceived to be)? I do not want to be rude and simply make changes, but I do notice that it is written in a legal style, which is less helpful to the general audience WP targets, though the information is certainly valuable. (The same issues tend to apply to medical articles, where I spend a lot of my time.)

Either way, welcome, and happy editing. You may reply either here or on my talk page.

Sure. I haven't really touched the trade secrets excerpts in my sandbox - they're notes straight out of my trade secrets class/readings - which is why they're still in legalese. You're welcome to paraphrase and rework whatever you like. Arttechlaw (talk) 18:38, 6 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I've been working a bit on the Supreme Court proceedings for the case, take a look if you get the chance. Tarheel95 (Sprechen) 18:29, 6 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Criminal copyright infringement, a page you created, has not been edited in at least 180 days. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 18:55, 20 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Arttechlaw. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Criminal copyright infringement".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Criminal copyright infringement}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 00:00, 4 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
