You stated the image is in the public domain because "[..] the picture is being used on Wikipedia to illustrate an Islamic concept." This might be true but public domain lets you use the image in other contexts, as well. So I doubt that this image really is PD, it might be used under the fair use rationale only. --Matt314 10:03, 18 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Feel free to change the licensing information if you feel it is incorrect. joturn

I am not the one who uploaded or added the picture you removed from Barack Obama, so I don't know what the license tag said, but I don't understand your edit summary - this is not commercial use, so what did you mean? thanks Tvoz | talk 20:00, 12 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This image was stored at Commons. There, as well as at the English Wikipedia, it is necessary that the image can be used commercially. Here it says: For an image to be considered "free" under Wikipedia's Image use policy, the license must permit both commercial reuse and derivative works. --Matt314 16:42, 13 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, just to bring this to your attention: Unfortunately, the Image:Niutao.jpg is a copyright violation. It is not as stated US Government Work, but from Google Maps.--Ratzer 21:22, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for this information. I nominated the image for deletion. --Matt314 04:55, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
