Revision deleted

[edit]

It is not a big deal but I came across a deletion of a minor edit I did in 2014 by someone identified as Hulmem on the Leslie Gore page. The remark was that the commas I inserted were inappropriate or unnecessary. I am quite sure that I was correct but don't know exactly what recourse there is. The rule is that you place a comma after the year if the sentence continues. Example: We celebrated with fireworks on July 4, 2010, when he came home from Iraq. I could find no resource (I checked my hard copy writer's guide,[1] and online) that indicated that a comma didn't belong after the year. Please advise.--Tke135 (talk) 08:59, 2 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
