- I have not come across this specific problem before. I suspect it is something wrong with your local setup - your browser settings perhaps, or some additional software such as a web filter/anti virus/whatever.
- Could you please try the following;
- Reset everything - turn everything off and back on.
- If possible, try using a different browser - for example, if you use Microsoft Internet Explorer, try Firefox instead
- Check if the same thing happens when you are logged out, as well as logged in.
- If you are still having problems, please give more details here - ie operating system, browser and version, any add-on software, if you have a firewall/anti-virus/anti-pop-up program, and details about what happens logged out.
- For more help, you can either;
- Leave a message on my own talk page;
OR
- Use a {{helpme}} - please create a new section at the end of your own talk page, put {{helpme}}, and ask your question - remember to 'sign' your name by putting ~~~~ at the end;
OR
- Talk to us live, with this or this.
- The last of those is particularly useful - please try it; pop in now and say hello. Chzz ► 12:30, 30 May 2010 (UTC)
- At Special:Preferences under the "Editing" tab, make sure there is a check mark at "Show preview before edit box". If you have a check mark and still don't see a preview then remove any check marks from these: "Use external editor by default", "Use external diff by default", "Use live preview". Did this help? - You just need to copy the code to the page you want. You can then transclude it. I hope this helps. Rock drum (talk·contribs·guestbook) 13:20, 5 June 2010 (UTC)
- (edit conflict)Copy the code that you used to create that into a user sub-page, like User:Muslim Editor/Userbox 1. Then when you type {{User:Muslim Editor/Userbox 1}}, it should show up. :) Best, HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 13:22, 5 June 2010 (UTC)

WikiProject India tag
[edit]Hi
I saw that on Maulana, Andhe ki laathi you changed the WikiProject India template on the talk page to a WikiProject Islam one. Since pages can belong to more than one project, the correct thing to do would have been to add the Islam template without removing the India one. I see that you are a new editor, so welcome to the encyclopedia. This is just to let you know the usual practice.
I also moved your question on Requests for Feedback to WP:NPOVN, where you can look for replies. You might also want to add some more there about specific articles. Itsmejudith (talk) 10:16, 15 June 2010 (UTC)

Editing problem
[edit]Sometimes,When i make an Internal link,it goes ineffective.
Eg. Portal:United States Air Force/News Archive/2009
becomes [[Portal:United States Air Force/News Archive/2009 ]]
- That is because the end of the link goes to a new line. Might want to click preview before you save. That usually stops it for me. -- /DeltaQuad|Notify Me\ 14:23, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
I can't unwatch pages
[edit]Whenever i creat a page,it's automatically marks the watch this page option,when i unmarks that option,it again gets marked when i edit that page. I've disabled the Watch pages i create and watch pages i edit options in my preferences setting but it still happens.
Contribs Muslim Editor Talk 10:30, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
- This might be a problem with you web browser, make sure it is up to date, and then try again. You can always watch/unwatch a page by clicking the star at the top. -- /DeltaQuad|Notify Me\ 14:23, 16 June 2010 (UTC)

What does destination filename mean on the page Special:Upload?
Contribs Muslim Editor Talk 06:37, 24 June 2010 (UTC)
- That is the name the the file will have on Wikipedia. Ideally it should be a descriptive name including the name of the subject and potentially dates or locations taken. You should not simply use the default existing name of the file (e.g. DSC0001.jpg). Regards. 7 06:42, 24 June 2010 (UTC)
- Examples: Select a descriptive filename for your upload. For example, "cat.jpg" is bad, while "Mongolian shorthair cat sleeping.jpg" is good. 7 06:43, 24 June 2010 (UTC)

WP does not use religious honorifics per WP:MOSISLAM
[edit]Greetings, saw your edits to Sunni Tehreek, and just wanted to point out WP:MOSISLAM, where editors have agreed that as a neutral encyclopedia Wikipedia doesn't use "(RA)" or "(PBUH)" or similar religious blessings on people. It's perfectly fine to use those off Wikipedia as your beliefs dictate, but since people of all religions use Wikipedia we avoid them for the sake of neutrality. That includes mentioning people by titles more than necessary to establish their identity (Maulvi, Maulana, etc), use of honorifics like "Hazrat", "Shaheed", etc. Otherwise various religious groups would go and lengthen hundreds of names to "His most splendid holiness, visionary of the future, martyr to the cause, Edward R. Thompson", so to keep it fair we just go by peoples' basic names. WP:MOSISLAM is a good read, so worth checking up on as you work on Islamic topics. MatthewVanitas (talk) 12:56, 28 June 2010 (UTC)
- It appears that you are correct, and the honorifics were in the draft prior to your edits. But your help would definitely be appreciated in removing honorifics, when you see them while editing. So far as POV, if you feel that I and Urduboy have POV biases that we're introducing, could you please point out exactly what those biases are? From my side, I'm seeing that he and I are removing material that subjectively praises the subject, or makes assertions that one religious group is the "right" one. I'm honestly failing to see how we're disparaging or promoting any given sect. MatthewVanitas (talk) 18:21, 28 June 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Hello. It appears that you have been canvassing—leaving messages on others' talk pages to notify them of an ongoing community decision, debate, or vote. While friendly notices are allowed, they should be limited and nonpartisan in distribution and should reflect a neutral point of view. Please do not post notices which are indiscriminately cross-posted, which espouse a certain point of view or side of a debate, or which are selectively sent only to those who are believed to hold the same opinion as you. Remember to respect Wikipedia's principle of consensus-building by allowing decisions to reflect the prevailing opinion among the community at large. warrior4321 01:25, 3 July 2010 (UTC)

Saudi Arabians cat
[edit]Hi there, I see that you have been editing Wikipedia for a few months, so I wouldn't to alert you to a problem I just saw on the recent change page. Category:Saudi Arabians should be deleted in favor of the existing Category:Saudi Arabian people category. If you want to see why, check out WP:CAT for more information. I suggested that you place a deletion tag on the page to save everyone the trouble of a formal discussion. Thanks and good luck editing.--TM 16:23, 7 July 2010 (UTC)

You are now a Reviewer
[edit]Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
For the guideline on reviewing, see Wikipedia:Reviewing. Being granted reviewer rights doesn't change how you can edit articles even with pending changes. The general help page on pending changes can be found here, and the general policy for the trial can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. —DoRD (talk) 14:21, 14 August 2010 (UTC)

[edit]{{helpme}} Neutrality of this article is disputed. Rivals of this university are adding biased but citated content,while pro-university editors are just blanking the text without any explanation.I'm confused about whether to keep the citated content or to remove it.

- Remove, and have all parties discuss on the talk page. If an edit war is happening, request protection at WP:RFPP. —fetch·comms 02:10, 16 August 2010 (UTC)
This template can only be used on articles created after March 18, 2010 - check the article history before tagging. (I've seen you tag a couple created after that date.) Thanks! Calliopejen1 (talk) 15:40, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
