[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions so far. I hope you like the place and decide to stay.
Here are some links to pages you may find useful:
- Contributing to Wikipedia
- Tutorial
- How to edit a page and How to develop articles
- Simplified Manual of Style
You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but if you wish to acquire additional privileges, you can simply create a named account. It's free, requires no personal information, and lets you:
- Create new pages and rename pages
- Edit semi-protected pages
- Upload images
- Have your own watchlist, which shows when articles you are interested in have changed
Note that in order for the first three features to be available, you must have had an account for a certain number of days and made a certain number of edits.
If you edit without using a named account, your IP address (24.59.245.106) is used to identify you instead.
I hope that you, as a Wikipedian, decide to continue contributing to our project: an encyclopedia of human knowledge that anyone can edit. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, or you can to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. We also have an intuitive guide on editing if you're interested. By the way, please make sure to sign and date your talk page comments with four tildes (~~~~).

[edit]Hello, I'm Tubedogg. I noticed that you made one or more changes to an article, Walmart, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Your recent editing history at Walmart shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Please do not use styles that are unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles, as you did in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. There is a Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. Thank you. -- ferret (talk) 01:50, 21 November 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Samf4u. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —specifically this edit to Aviation Mall— because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Help Desk. Thanks. Samf4u (talk) 21:28, 24 December 2018 (UTC)
Please do not add or significantly change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did with this edit to King of Prussia (mall). Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 20:43, 30 December 2018 (UTC)

Thanks for finding a WP:REF for the material about Sears's closing. If you want the article not to be deleted, please find some more similar references to show that it meets our Notability requirements. --David Tornheim (talk) 20:13, 1 January 2019 (UTC)

[edit]Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to Ames (department store), did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Just leave it alone please. It was an unsourced claim the first time you added it, the source you added with your second attempt does not state that the Ames store was previously the Big N store, and even if it were properly sourced, we don't need to know the previous history of a building that contained a former Ames. CS1 error on Towson Place
[edit]Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page Towson Place, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:
- A bare URL and missing title error. References show this error when they do not have a title. Please edit the article to add the appropriate title parameter to the reference. (Fix | Ask for help)
Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) (talk) 19:20, 7 March 2024 (UTC)

If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Please do not add references from Imdb since this website is not a reliable source. CycloneYoris talk! 00:31, 9 April 2024 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at WGRZ, you may be blocked from editing. WCQuidditch ☎ ✎ 01:12, 13 April 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, such as at Talk:Toronto, (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Disruptive French names
[edit]Please stop inaccurately adding French translations of names to cities in Canada. Ontario is not a bilingual province. Ontario cities do not have French names. A Statscan classification (a federal organization) has no impact on the name of a city in Canada. They just have their classifications made in two languages because they're a federal organization. Continuing to edit war to insert incorrect French names against Ontario cities is disruptive editing. Canterbury Tail talk 18:52, 7 June 2024 (UTC)
