My Top Wikipedia Principles & Pet Peeves
  • Be civil.
  • Don't be a dick.
  • Be strict about BLP.
  • Do not remove red links just for aesthetic reasons.
  • Do not rollback edits unless it is obvious vandalism. Undo is not only for non-admins and users without rollback rights.
  • Think extra hard about blocking an established editor, especially if it's for violation of 3RR.
  • Be careful to not revert edits to a previous version of vandalism.
  • Always, always, always use an edit summary.
  • The opposite of NPOV should not be called POV. Everything has a POINT OF VIEW! The question is - is it NEUTRAL or BIASED? See POV usage.
  • Not all external links belong. See WP:ELNO, WP:EL & WP:NOTLINK
