From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hi,
I am a relatively new editor, and don't expect to make many contributions. But I will when I'm passionate about a topic! Here are a few of those:
(I am reading at least one biography of each US president, and I believe the Adamses were great men with not-so-great presidencies. I am currently on #16 Abraham Lincoln, and will be reading two books on this giant.

I am a fan of article merging and moving, because I understand that Wikipedia's mission is better articles, not necessarily more articles that are little more than a dictionary definition. Having said that, here's what I've been working on...
Major projects completed
[edit]
- National World War I Museum and Memorial - completed merge with National WWI Memorial (renamed from Liberty Memorial). Much of the information from memorial article was repeated in the larger article, and the memorial is one element within the historic site. Will need an update when 2018 new gallery is opened.
- USS Princeton - completed merge with USS Princeton disaster of 1844. Nearly all information in disaster article was already included in ship article. Pointed redirect to specific section of ship article. Has been expanded by another user since the merge.
- Pawnee, Kansas - A town that no longer exists. Expanded the article.
- First Territorial Capitol of Kansas - Greatly expanded article to avoid merge with Pawnee, Kansas. Major work is complete.
- Gateway Geyser - Expanded article to include more about the park in which it is located, and added references. Suggested move to new page named for the whole park (done by admin).
Major projects in progress
[edit]
- Roots N Blues N BBQ Festival - Re-writing an article previously deleted due to promotional nature.
Other articles I'm tinkering with
[edit]
- Eisenhower Museum - Tweak writing, add details and sources.
- True/False Film Festival - Expand, review and contribute.
Notables on my Watchlist
[edit]
- Jefferson National Expansion Memorial - Update as renovations progress, review and contribute as needed.
- List of Presidents of the United States - Mostly just watching and reverting vandalism as needed. Addicted to the topic.
I am watching several pages on US presidents and their library/museums, but have found I am hesitant to bold-edit them without a discussion first on talk pages. This is good practice for all my fellow beginners out there, and even for the pros!
