Monotune
The word monotune is often confused with the word monotone. However; monotune is related to music more than it is to a single, steady tone. It comes from the title of a Cosmic Gate song and the partial title of a song from the videogame Dance Dance Revolution. You can find the song titled, "Monotune" on the CD Different Concept Part One, released in May of 2004. You can also find it in Dance Dance Revolution as "Monotune-Respect." Supposedly, it is the hardest and fastest song to dance to in the game. Monotune does derive from the word monotone and shares similar definitions, but still, is not the same thing. Many tend to think monotune and monotone are homonyms... they are not. If you break the word down, it basically means "one tune" or "one song." Hence the referral to music. The name has become synonymous with Electronic Music and a certain member of the virtual community. It is a commonly new and very underused word, just like its brother. People that do use the word, tend to use it to describe emotions about music. IE: "My playlist is monotune right now." Translation: "My playlist is awesome right now!." Clearly anyone can use the word for anything they'd like to, but the original sources of the word are all stated here.
