Aims & Objectives

[edit]
  1. To advance the education of young people, without distinction of sex, race, political, religious or other opinion, through their leisure time activities so that they may achieve their full potential as individuals and members of society and their conditions of life may improve.
  2. Establish or secure the establishment of, a permanent base - The Academy and to maintain and manage the same in furtherance of these objects.
  3. Promote such other charitable purposes as may time to time be determined.

Philosophy

[edit]
  1. ATTITUDE - A healthy attitude and good discipline are key characteristics for every successful player and help to enhance the learning process.
  2. ABILITY - The best players work long and hard on improving and refining their technical ability and we encourage the same dedication.
  3. AWARENESS - The Kingsley method develops a player’s vision and awareness, teaching him or her to read the game and be conscious of team-mates.
  4. AGILITY - Football is a fast-paced game and it’s important to continually improve the agility of young players, through technical drills and mini games.
  5. ATTACK - This encourages players to improve the attacking part of their game, developing passing techniques and the mental and physical aspects of beating opponents.
  6. ACHIEVE - The final building block harmonizes all the above elements, enabling Kingsley players to work individually or within a team, unlocking opponents and creating goalscoring opportunities.

Coaching Methodology

[edit]

The Kingsley United F.C. coaching method draws inspiration from many sources, primarily The Football Association method. Key other influences that have become part of our coaching system would include Futebol de Salão,Futsal, Cor Van Dijk Method and being part of the Soccer Coaching International web community based in the Netherlands. Kingsley United F.C., also draws on training methods from other sports, such as Speed, Agility and Quickness methods, which have become popular Rugby and many other sports.
