Organization

[edit]

The organization of this template doesn't make sense right now. I'll try to fix it. —Keenan Pepper 01:57, 24 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah please do amend as you see fit. I've just changed it based on your wikipage which I hadn't seen til now.Andeggs 07:59, 24 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It looks much better now, thanks. Welcome to the project! —Keenan Pepper 13:12, 24 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks - I really think the music section could be presented much better to be honest. If I have time I'm going to keep going with the whole templates thing and try and get some order amongst chaos. Please do correct/amend/delete when I go astray!Andeggs

Problem

[edit]

The "edit" link is preventing the template from displaying correctly. The top heading is shifted to the left. I'll remove the edit link. Maybe use a v-d-e format. Shalom (HelloPeace) 18:47, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Better yet, I just converted the whole thing to use {{Navbox}}. It looks a little different, but it should be a lot easier to work with now. Zetawoof(ζ) 00:47, 11 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Adding More Equal Temperaments

[edit]

I would like to add pages on more things, for example, 17 equal temperament eventually; is there any way we can add more equally tempered tunings to this template while keeping it nicely formatted? Cazort (talk) 22:54, 11 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Octoechos as a "non-western" tuning system

[edit]

Quite remarkable, that Octoechos and Tetrachord is here classified as "non-western", which points to a current "small Greek" identity problem (historical knowledge might solve it). I recommend to read the articles quoted in these templates, because the Octoechos was used in the whole Mediterranean world, in the Greek as well as in the Latin part, it was also admired by the Arabic part (the language of science between Muslims and Sephardim). Is "western" supposed to be a lack of knowledge? Maybe you are right... Platonykiss (talk) 14:51, 3 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
