Suggestion

[edit]

I think that we should merge this template into the Microsoft template or delete it. The Microsoft template has a section on all the video game products and futures of the video games produced by Microsoft. Any suggestions? RkOrToN 02:36, 5 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, yea. RkOrToN 01:33, 10 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

SEGA DreamCast

[edit]

Thinking of adding Dreamcast to the miscellaneous, because it used "The operating system used by some Dreamcast titles was developed by Microsoft after 2 years of work with Sega. It was an optimized version of Windows CE supporting DirectX." so it's an example of Microsoft involvement in Video Games. Just thought I'd post this idea here first incase anyone has any objections or there is any reason it's not already mentioned in the template?  Doktor  Wilhelm  07:42, 13 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

22 August renovations

[edit]

Hello, everyone

This post concerns reverting good-faith contributions by UKER. (Hi, are you seeing this?)

I felt that UKER's attempt to renovate the template into what is seen in Revision 796635630 misfired because in his version:

  • Stuff like Kinect and Controller were marked as gaming platforms
  • Xbox itself is no longer a Microsoft video gaming products

Does it make any sense?

Best regards,
Codename Lisa (talk) 05:17, 22 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I understand the first concern, and I will attempt to fix it (or at least improve it) in a second. The second point, I didn't understand. --uKER (talk) 05:41, 22 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, well. You reverted me before I could do anything. Never mind. Again, I fail to see how my layout made Xbox not be a Microsoft gaming product. --uKER (talk) 05:43, 22 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I made a second attempt at it. See what you think of it. --uKER (talk) 05:50, 22 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Before I go to sleep, my issue with the previous layout is that both the Accessories and Games sections are a mess to read through if their contents are not grouped by platform. --uKER (talk) 06:00, 22 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Markedly better! I can't say I like it, but it is markedly better.
I reverted you once. I am not going to revert you twice today. And especially, I am not going to revert you just because I don't like it.
So, happy editing.
Best regards,

Appreciated. :) Now, if you care to explain what you don't like, maybe we can reach a layout that you like, while still keeping the per-platform grouping. Cheers! --uKER (talk) 14:25, 22 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Reverted change

[edit]

I had this edit reverted, saying "Partial name doesn't make sense, already grouped under Xbox One X." but I'm failing to see how the "Enhanced" item is somehow related to the One X in the template. AFAICT, the link would lead to think the article is about regular Xbox One games. --uKER (talk) 18:11, 26 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You're right, but I'd still avoid an odd partial name like "One X", which isn't a phrase anyone uses. If it needs clarification then put the whole thing. -- ferret (talk) 18:13, 26 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
