Fair use rationale for Image:21TheRose2.jpg

[edit]

Image:21TheRose2.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.Betacommand (talkcontribsBot) 22:58, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair-use on discographies test case

[edit]

Please see Talk:The_Beatles_discography#Poll_on_the_use_of_fair-use_images_on_this_page_and_the_interpretation_of_policy which is acting as a test case in this matter. Jooler 09:42, 9 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

The image Image:WestlifeBackHomeTour.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

Things i have noticed.

[edit]

hey guys, whilst reading through this article there are alot of things that need attention if this article is ever going to get to Featured List status.

  • needs an image for the infobox
  • the lead is measly and needs bulking up
  • the studio albums table needs setting out and formatting properly and nothing in it is sourced
  • special compilations - unsourced and not really notable.
  • single certifications - completely unsourced and is in danger of being completely deleted if none are found
  • singles table needs setting out and formatting properly, and once again nothing is sourced.
  • the sales and certifications are also going to be removed for the same reason
  • promo singles and downloads - completely unsourced and not notable anyways

read MOS:DISCOG if you disagree with my opinions. but i work on alot of FL discographies and this one would fail miserably. but i'm going to help sort it out :) Mister sparky (talk) 17:50, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Additionally there should only be 10 charts. There should be no seperation of non-UK releases. Lil-unique1 (talk) 02:09, 4 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I propose that Westlife videography be merged into Westlife discography. Most of the content of Westlife videography has already been listed in Westlife discography anyway. And as for the TV Appearances section, I'm not even sure it's notable enough to include. Krystaleen (talk) 10:22, 13 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

US Billboard

[edit]

Why are there no US rankings that show Billboard stats? TekBoi [Ali Kilinc] (talk) 10:06, 17 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Because they never cracked the US maybe.--Krystaleen 17:47, 17 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Flying Without Wings (Live) UK #1?

[edit]

Did this track really reach #1 in the UK? It listed as a 2004 release, but isn't mentioned on [[1]] — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.172.74.61 (talk) 12:28, 13 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah there doesn't seem to be any source to back it up so I removed it for now.--Krystaleen 17:00, 13 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
