VW Sharan
I wonder why in this tables about production is the VW Sharan not listed.
Built in the same car factory in Portugal, VW Sharan, Seat Alhambra, Ford Galaxy are very popular minivans in Europe.
The VW Sharan is not related in any way to the Caddy. This is a page about the *VW Caddy*. If you want to write about the Sharan then perhaps you should visit the relevant wikipedia page.
Caddy Type 14D: Edit of History
[edit]Have edited article and changed production dates. (All info is from Volkswagen Driver (UK Publication) Issue 67, Dec 2005).
Also have changed the early history as previous article had Caddy was the idea by VWoA employees but all my sources state otherwise.
What is needed is more engine specs and perhaps more South African info eg how the market has accepted it ?, are sales still strong ?
I plan on expanding more on this article when I have the time.

Have added two new engines to the 9K Caddy the 1.7SDi and the old 1.9 indirect injection engine.

Generations
[edit]In this article is big mistake in generations. VW Caddy gen. IV is gen. III, 2015 facelift in this article and gen. V is gen. IV in this article. My english is very bad. Plese correct these mistakes. Thank you, --MIGORMCZ (talk) 13:57, 29 March 2020 (UTC)
1.6 MSI engine in some countries
[edit]As of 2023, the Caddy is also fitted with a naturally-aspirated 1.6L gasoline engine, catering mostly to parts of Africa and Latin America. Volkswagen official websites in Mexico and South Africa list only this engine as the gasoline-powered option for the Caddy, alongside the 2.0 TDI, and no TSI version available. 2804:1B2:9443:AAB3:A002:AF6A:BDDF:E6F1 (talk) 06:56, 1 April 2023 (UTC)
