Indie?

[edit]

How are they indie? They aren't on an independant label.--Cire27 12:14, 16 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Know Nothing Stays the Same" was an EP with 5 cover songs they released in August,2004. 75.76.225.195 (talk) 01:30, 14 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Indie, as a genre, has been expanded to include things that aren't made independently. It's a genre that is offbeat. —Preceding unsigned comment added by LolaLovely (talkcontribs) 19:49, 24 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

One Fell Swoop

[edit]

I have never heard of this second cd which seems to be a 111 (one-eleven) records promotional cd... can anyone confirm this??? --Mikesan230 23:14, 31 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

It's their follow up album and was sold as two discs, the first being the actual album and the second disc being a 111 records promotional cd with songs by other bands on that label (AS FAR AS I KNOW). Rian46 23:57, 1 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have confirmed this and posted the information on the page. --Russ is the sex 04:09, 31 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

NPOV

[edit]

This article is far too based on opinion. It is obvious the author is a Spill Canvas fan. It needs rewriting. EarlCampbell20 04:47, 3 January 2006 (UTC)Earlcampbell20[reply]

I removed all of the opinions that were stated in this article. --Russ is the sex 04:09, 31 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

More description needed

[edit]

This article seems to be written from the assumption that the reader knows what "The Spill Canvas" is. Sure, it's a band, but in what genre of music? Kaijan 12:44, 1 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I added/edited some info from the biography on the official site which gives a more in depth description of the type of music The Spill Canvas makes. Rian46 18:01, 6 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Just thought I'd tell you that the hole first part is copy-and-pasted from http://www.thespillcanvas.com/bio.html.

Seriously, What genre are they, i'd take a venture at piano rock, but i have no sources, not that that's stopped me before.

On the first album they were typical new emo acoustic, similar to Dashboard Confessional. On the new one they used other instruments more, none of which were pianos (ever) from what I can tell, so they're still new emo, but rely less on acoustics, and to a lesser extent than the first album as the lyrics are much less emotional. --Rian46 22:46, 20 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Tsc group.jpg

[edit]

Image:Tsc group.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion.
