It is fairly clear from https://www.freebmd.org.uk/ that the parents were John Standish Masterman and his wife Phyllis Gordon, married in 1911. His grandfather was therefore William Fairless Masterman, and great-grandfather the brewer John Masterman of Walworth Castle.

Where it gets more tricky is the grandfather William's marriage. From another source I know that Standish Masterman is somehow related to Archibald Standish Hartrick. From Find a Grave we have that Sophia Mary Hartrick Masterman married as her second husband William Fairles Masterman, in Dublin in 1874. Archibald Hartrick's father was William (ODNB). From [1] we have that Sophia was the third daughter of Standish Hartrick of New Ross, Co. Wexford. So there is a gap to fill between William and Standish Hartrick. That and the fact that the coherence is not the same as having reliable sources.

There is a published reference in which (Simon) Fairless Masterman, son of Standish and Dodie (mother's surname given as Glass by FreeBMD) identifies William Fairless Masterman as his great-grandfather: [2] at p. 22. John Standish Masterman was the only son of William Fairless Masterman, and Fairless Masterman is identified as Dodie's son in connection with some drawings of Dylan Thomas[3], and everything fits.
