Paragraph removed from Box Office Performance due to outdated figures from 12 years ago

[edit]

Here's the paragraph that was moved, all but one sentence (from 2022) is from information from 2011. If this can be updated, it could be moved back to that part of the article.

The Scream series, when compared to other top-grossing American horror franchises—Alien, Predator, Candyman, Child's Play, The Conjuring, The Exorcist, The Evil Dead, Final Destination, Friday the 13th, Halloween, Hannibal Lecter, Hellraiser, Leprechaun, I Know What You Did Last Summer, Jaws, A Nightmare on Elm Street, The Omen, Paranormal Activity, Psycho, The Purge, Saw, It, and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre—with figures adjusted for 2011 inflation,[1] is the sixth highest grossing horror franchise in the domestic United States at $442.9 million.[2] This list is topped by Friday the 13th at $687.1 million,[3] followed by the Nightmare on Elm Street series with $592.8 million,[4] the Hannibal Lecter film series with $588.7 million,[5] Halloween with $557.5 million,[6] the Saw series with $457.4 million,[7] the Scream series which is followed by Psycho with $376.3 million,[8] The Texas Chainsaw Massacre with $304.6 million,[9] the Child's Play film series with approximately $203 million,[10] and The Evil Dead with $154 million. Should the "controversies" section include the Spyglass/Barrera debacle?

[edit]

In 2024, Melissa Barrera was fired from Scream 7 for supporting Palestine in the Israel/Hamas war, which Spyglass deemed antisemitic. Should that be included as a controversy? Tristanstar22 (talk) 23:01, 26 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Jennifer Jolie - not mentioned here?
